I have some Sugru. I wasn't sure it would be firm enough for this purpose (there's going to be a lot of movement along the street point) or whether the sugru would attach to the ABS plastic? The original part that's worn on mine is also very small (basically just a thinly moulded ABS plastic stub pin that's broken off). So I'm thinking that eg drilling it out and using a superglued metal pin might be the better solution.

Like I said, not top of my priority list since the OBD scanner is permanently attached at the moment and I quite like the blue LED effect
I'm not too impressed by the engineering here but most manufacturers seem to cut corners on these covers!
