O2 have applied cheeky in-contract price rises and as a long standing customer I was miffed on a point of principle since they are not that competitive anyway. I was unable to get through on their help desk (probably because of the furore in the press) but persisted with the on-line chat support. Having thrown some alternative deals at them and made it plain I was off they quickly buckled offering a £150 cash payment to my account, more data and a couple of bolt-on's to the contract. My £15 SIM only iPhone deal is now effectively free for 9 months.
Worth a try if they are shafting you as well. It seems a weird business model to try and add £1 to a bill and end up giving away over £150 to keep the customer :?
