It was only a small light bit of metal! I am amazed it has done this much damage!

Shouldn't get in the way. But you will doing the grunting!!
 
It's funny - it looks like that disc you made in your previous photo for the side indicator was the culprit :D almost a perfect match.

There are members of the public out there now who would be ringing NATIONAL ACCIDENT HELPLINE! asking for £6000 because your company didn't provide shin guards .. the obvious requirement when working with metal discs.

i hate the US for sharing that culture with us over the pond :(
