O dear

Sorry toe side!!

H&s where buzzing round before I left. The first aider was great telling them to bugger off until I was fixed up

Nothing to do with them jimmy. A nurse actually said that will be worth a few quid!! Put my clame in

Very strange and I don't understand it. But it didn't hurt still doesn't. It smarted a bit when they where squirting cold salty water in it on to the bone. But apart from that just feels like it tingles!!

Wee Bing sliced his foot open with a nail in the park once (by the way, even he winced when he saw the photo :o ) - he said his foot didn't hurt either. When I was 12 I crashed a sledge into a fence trying to get round a lamp-post and one of the struts went about 3 inches into the front of my thigh and ripped... Didn't hurt either. The tourniquet my mother tied round my leg before carting me to hospital hurt more. The human body is a wonderful machine, and I think sometimes it does the sensible thing by turning off the nerves / pain receptors and flooding the area with natural anaesthetic. Don't worry though, it can't be a limitless supply so it will hurt eventually

Dude impressive wound. stitched a few of those back up recently...i really hope its not gone through some cutaneous nerves partly because i hope you have not done any long term damage but mostly wishing i could see your face when the adrenaline wears off tomorrow morning and you are screaming like a little girl

You must be a tough nut,it made me wince just looking at the pic.Take care you don't want any infections getting into those cuts.

You utter b*stard - I love it

OMG! that's made me go a bit light headed.

Glad you're still in high spirits, can't think what went through your mind when you initially saw it...

...plaster, bigger plaster, super glue, stitches, doctors (in the morning), A&E, oh s**t

Take it easy dude, I think we need to start up a donations morphine/beer fund for MM

Nice work, monkey. Remember... chicks dig scars.

Had a bit of an mishap at work today!!

A 5mm plate of stainless steel fell on my shines and have a pair horse shoue shaped cuts on each leg. Spent most of the day I A&E got to go back tomorrow to see if I will need skin graphs. They are quite deep kind of pealed the skin back so I have had a good look at the bone

If your waiting on any Monkey bits sorry there might be a delay :headbang:

If anyone wants to see pics I have one!!!

Hope I can make zedfest but is looking unlikely right now :(

Oh No, Mat, hazards of the job! We were really looking forward to meeting you at Silverstone, so hope you get better enough to make it, if it helps you can sit with a cuppa for as long as you like.

Ha just say its a war scare! "I was with my platoon and shapnel went flying everywhere one of the shards got billy and the rest got my shins!" and now I have PTSD flash backs when I see steel" ha

Oh Gawd - I had to look!
MM - sorry to hear of the mishap. Keep that thing clean! Wishing you a speedy recovery, glad it didn't cut off anything vital.
Best wishes your way.

Damn!! That's a proper cut there mate! Had similar a few years back but it was straight and not 'moon' shaped, ended up with staples to keep it together. Hope you are good
