ben g said:Any badge on the side is horrific. I currently have plain uk font plastic ones, but on past cars i've had pressed metal plates in french font.
It was a nice subtle difference and not as obviously illegal as german font.

I like the look of that, does away with the ugly plastic plinth, may do it myself.ben g said:Yeah 60 quid fine I think.
The front plate on my Z4 isn't strictly legal as it has no bs mark or postcode of the manufacturer, but the copper would have to be in a very bad mood to fine you for it.
again, a subtle difference. The original plate overhung the lower centre grille which annoyed me

Regarding badges on plates, I personally don't feel the need to display my vehicles manufacturer as the badges on the car already do that. It's all subjective though. The saying 'As long as you like it' comes to mind.
That's what I do! Have been like it for a few months now with no problemJonny essex said:I might remove my front plate all together, just leave in boot and say it went loose if i get tugged by the Po-lice
kept in boot just in case!goon said:I like the look of that, does away with the ugly plastic plinth, may do it myself.ben g said:Yeah 60 quid fine I think.
