Now very Happy with my E89 35is purchase

The first Amp I bought was a Sugden (with Monitor Audio speakers), still the best sounding Amp for music I have ever purchased.

Since then I've gone more AV and less pure sound. A route forced by what I now have time and space to do, rather than an ideal world scenario.

009 days to go

Beautiful simplicity and symmetry to your amp!
What power output and frequency response do they deliver?

Just as important - Do you ever get back to gods own country?

I used to have a pair of Jadis JA30 monoblocks..... They where nice, had the partnered with some Focal floorstanders.

I then got all a bit disillusioned with chasing the myth and flogged it all...

Couldnt live without some audio for long and got a modded chinese valve amp with a set of Linn Kabers and an LP12 front end...

This set me back on the road for more audio.....

I now have and ASR emitter 2 amp,DCS front end and set of Quad ESL 63's....

Look up the Emitter amp....Would be interesting read for you.

Decent review here..

Do any hi fi enthusiasts take detailed hearing tests?

I ask this as a serious question !

I used to have hearing tests at work it was identified that I had lost some ability at some frequencies.

Also today the run flats were not that bad with the adaptive suspension option, but it seem there is still a great improvement to have when you change them over ? is that still the consensus of other forum members ?

There are quite a few of us who don't think the RF's aren't that bad on the E89.

(My car is only a 3.0 without adaptive suspension)

Afternoon Mr Bond.

With my 35i the standard RFT's were perfectly ok, although the whole setup did border on the harsh side I'm used to driving sports cars and I didn't find it unduly bad (unless I hit a large pothole). I never considered changing the tyres to non-RFTs.

Now with the 35IS there is definitely a marked improvement in ride with the adaptive suspension. I'd say that it's the most noticeable difference between the cars and a very welcome one. So far I'm very impressed with the ride quality. No way I'd be considering tyre changes.

I'm sure that RF are safer at Autobahn speeds and as I take mine to Germany each year swmbo has insisted on me using them!
She spoke to friends in Germany last year who convinced her of the safety aspect!

Strange. I would have thought that any tyres fitted (regardless to RFT ot not) would have the same speed rating, which is doubtlessly beyond the top speed of the car anyway. Can't see any safety issue here.
