2DIN is better solution but i want have original status .......and 1DNI is for me better solution

Really interested to hear your experience with this thing.
Couple of questions:
- does it do wireless apple carplay?
- how did you wire it in?
- does it work with the native steering wheel controls?

Also, is this the one? Which version did you get, the T10?

Hi,
For me are this all things new, i have Zed in garage and i do many improvements, as i wrote there
https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2046408#p2046408
- yes model is T10.
- this i have to check it (in manual, yes this function is there)
- I bought the reduction ISO to BMW and for anthene FAKRA
210_antenni-redukce-fakra-din-evtech-cz.png

- Yes this radio have support for steering wheels buttons and i bought this reduction.
- support is for MF
- next for me important thngs was i have S676 with ext. amplifier and this i need to preserve
Reduction is for Z4 model with all support functions.

Next week i can do it the test for MF with old radio and with the new one.

And next is Paddle shifters :)

I'll be very curious to hear your experiences, I also have an S676 hi-fi system, but not DSP (thankfully). I also have plans to replace the original head unit, but I plan to install a Chinese android head unit (2 din) in place of the original monitor. The way I want to connect the new head unit is to connect the line output of the new head unit to the CD changer input of the original head unit (currently there is a bluetooth receiver connected).
So that I can adjust the volume from the steering wheel, and for the other functions I'll install a remote control like this:

There are also plans to buy a USB-to-iBus converter and using the iBus app.

Hi, yes, if i have this solution then yes i agreed. I my opinion, but this is not possible, i dont have this monitor and i dont want cut dashboard.
But ithink you need connected this monitor with AUX am i right ? When yes this is not good option for sound when you have ext. amplifier.
And also i bought mini OBD2 connector thne i have on "digital cockpit" new inforamation about rpm, torque, speed etc.
And is dificult have MF and ext. amplifier togheter to aftermarket radio. ISO reduction it cost 100EUR :(

And the now Remote Controller is not bad idea (only you need power and from battery? :() , but i try connected all with the original one, MF, ext amplifier and Paddle shifters.

Of course, if I didn't have a display in my car from the factory, I wouldn't cut the dashboard either, I'd look for another solution, like the one you have.
The reason I thought of connecting the new head unit to the CD changer input is because I don't know what signal the amplifier that comes with the S676 kit receives (I'm not sure if it receives the bridge-connected outputs of the android head unit). The head unit I bought has a line output, it should fit the CD changer input. The sound quality in a roadster is not that important to me, I was perfectly happy with the sound of the bluetooth transmission, it was just cumbersome to use.

Looking forward to your experiences on how you matched the android head unit with the factory amp, please report back.

I have a question: what is the MF, i can't understand it.

Sorry this is my bad English:)
MF - MutiFunctons - steering wheeel buttons
And when you have option S676 then radio is only "interface" (like idrve monitor - ECu is not in LCD) then radio dosent have sound peak/power, this have the ext. ampflier and this is the reason why doesn't matter, if have you original radio or aftermarket and this is help for us.

And when you have S677A then sound is better and decresse the sound output is not good....i have E70 S677A individual audio Harman & Kardon with MOST and DSP and this sound is amazing !! But for this reason doesn't exist any reduction , any solution while you have MOST BUS....ufff z4 doesn't have MOST BUS.

And maybe good things my T10 radio ANDROID have SPDIF (optical out) ...then when you change ext. amplifier then you have possibility connnected all chanelles more simply.

Thanks for reply! Unfortunately my English is not very good either.

The one thing I don't understand is that if the original radio is just a controller, and there is no power level signal coming out of it, how are you going to control the factory 10 channel amplifier with the android radio, because if I saw it correctly, it only has a pair of low level outputs.
Another question is how to turn on the factory amplifier remotely with the android head unit.
As these questions are not clear to me, I have therefore thought of using the CD changer input (I want to extend the original monitor cable and "banish" it either to the glove box or the middle storage. The reason is that if I need to adjust the balance or fader, I can do it, because I don't have any display on the original radio), but of course I would be happy to have another solution.

Hi my understanding is...
Radio is only signal way to amplifier, then you dont need connect fabric ext. amplifier directly (as you want)
here have you link for my reduction
- for fabric ext. amplifier
- for multifunction steering wheel - here is the way how understand radio the signals from button (after amrket radio)ú
- for Phone function

This solution i spoke with Authfi specilist in CZ (AHIFI.CZ)

PS:
But now i think i understand your problem, you have fabric radio and you change only LCD monitor, then you need connected sound with aux.
Something like this

Your solution is better. I'm familiar with connects2 adapters, but until now I thought they only solved the remote control of the steering wheel with an aftermarket head unit. This amp control is new to me, but it's a very clever solution.

Hi, today I did the test.
Iam not satisfied with this product :( Issue is in the Connect2S adapter, exactly he provides what i dont want. Sound is ony trought radio whitout ext. amplifier and through it whitout 2 Subwoofer
I wrote a ticket to Connect2S and my AHIFI shop what are the next steps.

Otherwise Radio is really good, have quick reaction boot 5sec, very excellent product. HF it goes whitout ex. mic whit verry good sound. Waze GPS, OBD mini whit BT, wirless AplleCarplay, amzaing is EQ 48 and settings and also goes the multifuntion from steering wheel.
This product is amazing and shifts Z4 to another level to 21 Century.

And i see the diference betwwen original connectors and the connectors from Connect2S

Unfortunately, this is not good news. Please keep me informed of the solution.

My head unit has a very similar user interface, it also works perfectly, the only problem is that the screen flickers for about 3-4 minutes after switching on. The manufacturer is sending a new display, which is on its way. Even though it's flawed, it was worth buying it for $120 during Black Friday (S5 CPU, 7 inch, 4Gbyte+64Gbyte).

Hi, i read here topic about exchange all audio for Z4 and someone from this forum wrote, he have same adapter from Connects2 CTSBM007.2 and only is mistake in ISO connector engagement.
Then i still waiting from answer from ahifi shop. My understanding is original radio triggers et. amplifier and for this reason a bought so dificult adapter.
:headbang:

Radio has output 4x55W and the 48EQ is very good and sound is also amazing, but ext. amplifer is something other :)

Hi! Yesterday and today I was able to do some work on the installation of the android head unit (2 DIN 7 inch). It's already working, but it wasn't easy.... I had a bluetooth adapter called Bluemusic installed in my car. It emulates an original CD changer and is plugged into the CD player's CD changer input. At first I just connected the Android head unit's line output cables, but that way there was no CD changer option in the original radio. I started to think about it and realised that the CD changer simulation wouldn't work until the bluetooth adapter was back in the system, because it also has a K-Bus connector, I guess that send the signal to the original head unit that there is a CD changer in the system. Once I plugged in the BT adapter the power and the K-Bus connectors, everything was up and running. The music sounded perfectly acceptable to me. Unfortunately I still have to extend some cables, but that's for tomorrow...
I'm aware that this connection may not be the most practical, but it's the cheapest I could get with my existing equipment.

Hi, but i dont have CD cahnger i have only Radio Professional with ext. amplifier and after coneection CTSBM007.2 ext. amplifer dosent work, only all cahneels but whitout ext. amlifier.
My soloution isnt trough CD changer :(
