Pointless posting on the niceties of automotive terminology on the US based boards, but on a British one, some of the inhabitants should be cognizant of basic terminology.
If the Z4 were British built, the convertible versions would be drophead coupes, not roadsters (I forget which company made the last true roadster with side curtains - was it TVR or more likely Chrysler with the first run of Vipers?).
I wonder where the Germans came up with their terminology? Perhaps their way of getting back after they'd watched Fawlty Towers or some such?
