Would like to just meet up for lunch perhaps. Can recommend some very nice hostelries should you need any suggestions.
Hello Nanu,
Thank you ….
Any recommendations for maybe 10-14 people are welcome ..
CherryM who is co-organising lives nearer to the hooning area and we’ve sampled some places but additional inputs very welcome…
Hopefully you can join us for lunch on that day![]()
Another and less well known spot on a different part of the drive is The Rat Inn, Good lunch and superb views from the garden. https://www.theratinn.com/

It did mean forcing ourselves to drive for almost an hour in the sunshine to the venue and parting with £45 for two courses, a drink each and tip, but for the potential benefit of those that may go after we persevered. We didn't book and even though it was a Tuesday lunchtime, the restaurant was full and we only just managed to get a table in the bar.
Lobster bisque and Venison Casserole was tested and passed with flying colours. Parfait followed by Thai Cod & salmon fish cakes (Very spicy) was also tested which resulted in clean plates.
Worth a second opinion by anyone who just happens to be passing but FYI photo of lunch menu which is not on the website attached.
