A fresh format weekend..one day pottering up the Northumberland coast taking in Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island (Lindisfarne) and a second day, hooning around the Northern Pennines.

For those not keen on hooning, we are looking at dropping non-hooners of at a Spa or similar for the day and picking them up on the return.

Based out of hotels near Newcastle airport to simplify logistics and access.

Restricted to a max of 12 cars.

Please keep me updated as don't live far from the intended "hoons" and have driven the area very often. Would like to just meet up for lunch perhaps. Can recommend some very nice hostelries should you need any suggestions.

Not sure at the moment, if I just do the Sunday then I’ll meet you at the start point but I may well do the Saturday as well and stay over but I’m not sure yet.

OI no worries, there’ll be an update on hotels soon so you can respond as you see fit then.

My fav for lunch up that way is the Cook & Barker, think they do rooms also. https://cookandbarkerinn.co.uk/

Another and less well known spot on a different part of the drive is The Rat Inn, Good lunch and superb views from the garden. https://www.theratinn.com/
