Who/What is Winston? :)

It's either his boyfriend or his car - can't remember.

Anyhow, anyone else read the Dream Drives on Pistonheads this week? Here's linky clicky which is included in the route on Sunday :)

I suppose we will find out ;)

Great write up on the road, hoping you have the local knowledge

So I'm fuelled and ready for tomorrow - 9.30 for 10 set off. Weather looks great so were all set.

Not so many takers this year - maybe we won't have so much wandering off route this time!

Sorry I can't join you tomorrow but I can give you some local knowledge.
This road is almost in my back garden and is a favourite patrol with police bikes. It has become an accident black route within the county and has some unrealistic speed limits in an attempt to reduce casualty figures. However it's still a fantastic drive/ride.
Have fun !

It's my back garden too. Where do you live?
I'm just outside kirkbymoorside.

Hopefully you can vouch for them - sounds like these roads are getting more Police attention in recent times, so need to keep it sensible. From a scout out on these roads a few months ago the speed limits weren't too restrictive - but the blade accelerates very quickly and slows just as fast in the twisties. Bikes in convoys with fast cars might be more than interesting. (P.S. I ride too so not anti bike)

Have a great day but I have to say it does and has put me off coming to these/this meet when people on bikes will be there as well as other non zed vehicles, to me they are Z4 meets only, but hey that's just my opinion.

I am sure it will be fun.

But what happens when people who've had a Z4 and have been meeting up for several years get a new car? There are people I still like to catch up with and it would be a shame if they could no longer come on meets

We stay at the back with the rest of the riff raff as not to spoil the view ;)

Think others agree too - its unusual, but as people buy new cars do we ban them from coming? Once you start coming you'll probably realise that it's mates that make meets not the cars they drive.

Feel free to make yours Z4 only. (Everyone on the list is an ex z4 driver or soon to get one - the last few additions are unusual and we'll see how that goes)

Right - quick shower and breakfast and its on the road time.

I certainly have to agree with andya1 on this, it should be for Z4's only, however everyone is entitled to their opinions and this is just mine :)

Hope you guys all have a great time
