North York Moors meet - Sun 1st Sept - fancy a drive out?

Looks like a good meet guys - I think it's enjoying great driving roads with like minded people that counts - the Z4 forum is an informal affair not an OC so I think it shouldn't really matter what the chosen car is.

Only one I got!

Well worth the long trip over, thanks to Tony and Ruth for organising  Magpie fish and chips were excellent but the sheep did seem to have a death wish up on Blakey Ridge!!!

Personal opinion, but it's the people more than the cars that have made this forum and it's many meets so good. I'm all for "mixed marriage" meets :)

I am, FINALLY, home... Ended up going to Scarborough, and then stopping at a cousin's house in Thorne (Donny)..
Total mileage for the tripped came in at 597 miles.

Meaning I've now jammed in just over 1k miles on the Zed since noon Friday. happy days

Was an excellent meet Tony - especially that rather spirited bit right at the end.. best few miles I've ever had in the car, even if I was being held up by some old todger in a porsche :P :driving:
Was also great to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones.

My opinion on "mixed groups" is fairly simple.. if you've owned a zed, were active on the forum, and came to at least one meet before, there's no reason to stop you coming in whatever car you have now. Also, if you're not in a zed, but are on the verge of getting one, what better opportunity to witness the greatness that are our cars doing what they do best?
Only thing I'm nervous about are bikes.. I'm a biker, and I'd never attend a car meet on one.. the two beasts just don't mix well out on fast back roads imo - especially a sport bike (r6/zx/etc) - they'd hold up the faster drivers in the good corners, and some of the roads we drive regularly would force them to go much slower than the rest of the pack, or face being dismounted.
Best way to keep it shiny side up is to do a bike run on a bike, and a car run in a car.

As for those saying zeds only.. I hear your point, but would you want to stop me meeting up with a load of old mates who I've not seen for a couple of years, just because my Zed's not on the road - even though my kitcar is?

I am a little worried about you - bit of a Freudian?

Anyway here's some more photos (and SK you have a tweet!)

Guess which of the first two cars belongs to redzedfour and who owns the teddy!?
