North Wales Run September 5th

Thanks very much Sammyz for organising this, had a fantastic day, I clearly still have a way to go before finding the limits of the Z4 lol. :driving:

I've never been to Wales before but have to say that the parts we drove through were pretty stunning, if I do get a Freelander next then I think I'll need to find a few Byways down that neck of the woods lol.

Can't wait to see the pics now seeing as I forgot my own camera!

even made it to the exclusive "invite only* little chef for a final wee at the end. Got a few decent photos methinks, but also have vids from all 3 tunnels... will attempt to upload them at some point and will share with caution  :driving:

We did wonder where half the group had gone when some of us arrived at the Starbucks!

Sorry about the mix up at the end  Thought Starbucks would be closed so pushed on to the next services as the ladies were wanting to 'powder their noses'. Hope everyone got home OK. Great company as usual.
21 cars was a bit too big for a group really but when i looked back on the right turn on the Evo triangle all I could see for a mile back down the road was a line of Z4's, fantastic! :)

Just back home at 10.10pm,after a stop for dinner en-route.
A full days driving and nearly 800 miles in total(getting there, via chester, driving round Wales and then going home),but all good, especially as the wife drove all the way home, meaning i could relax :-)

Was great to see everyone again, and those who i hadnt yet met.good company every one, though as Tweed said,we diidnt have nearly enough time to get to chat to everybody, but the driving was great, especially in the aftn, blasting up the hill(before we got to the tunnels),with Sammy z/John,Andy and Phil, with the echo reverbing off the stone wall;and off course ,the tunnels themselves, sounded superb. And the evo triangle in the afternoon was great too, espcly as the sun came out after lunch :D

Thanks again to John for organising more great routes.
Looking forward to our next meet already, lol

will hopefully get my pics uploaded tommorrow :)
(bed for me too now,am knakd, and my knee's a bit worse for wear)

this won't be here very long.. remember to click 720p:

edit: *snip*... will be back at some point tomoro 8)

Great run, thanks to all who came and special thanks to John for organising these amazing runs as usual - Legend!

Saw plenty of new (to me!) faces and it was pretty well paced despite the sheer number of cars he had to keep hold of! Looking forward to seeing a few more pics/vids

Who was the person who turned up right as we were leaving Starbucks?? They just saw the pack heading off the first Roundabout...

Thanks to Sammyz for organising it, had great fun, and the light rain only helped make it a little greasier

Andy, new tyres ordered yet??

After 490 miles and 14 hours I got back at 9:30pm (after a food stop) last night. Had a great day, there were some fantastic roads. Big thank you to John for organinsing it and leading

The blast through the tunnels was amazing, apart from the idiot towing the trailer of matresses that pulled out right in front of me in one of them at the fastest point with no indication doing half my speed!

That was me! I'd had a good journey across and was even ahead of time, until the last 2 or 3 miles when it all went wrong! I'd leant my decent sat nav to someone to use on holiday abroad so was using they're crappy out of date one that was different for the section of motorway near Starbucks so I ended up going past to the next junction and trying to find my way from there which didn't work, so then I went back to the motorway and back to the previous junction to try it instead, which luckily was right and I made it just in time!

Glad u made it in time though,Matty

Yeah, there were a few idiots who wouldnt let us past, even tho they could have done, holding us up from time to time :headbang: /but a great day none the less :D :driving:

You're forgiven 100 fold - :ilovez4f: and sammyz's meets!
Would have been great to chat at the end, but I was following Taz and either he didn't see you exit, or he was heading straight home - either way we stuck together until he peeled off into Manchester.

Photos to follow - Ruth took nearly 200, so there's bound to be a couple of keepers (maybe!).

Prize for git of the day goes to Guiseley, for non-chalantly commenting at one of the stops "Did anyone else notice the camera in the 3rd tunnel?". Several faces dropped instantly before he started laughing. Git

:D You were on to me too quickly Tweed, however Andy's reaction was priceless - maybe he strayed just over the limit in that third tunnel?

Awesome meet.

Thanks again John, another cracking route!

The tunnel blast was great fun, hopefully I've got that on video but I've not had a chance to go through them all yet :)
