North Wales run 20th September (UPDATED)

Looks like i'll be attending.. :)
I will apologise now if im not driving like a pro tomorrow and looking for racing lines etc etc ..
Im obv a relatively inexperienced driver (compared to the old folk :P ) and im treating tomorrow as a chance to get to know my car
Should be bloody good fun though!! :D

Woots,

don't worry about about racing lines, this will be a good drive but we'll be sticking to speed limits and making sure everyone is comfortable with the pace!

Ed,

hope you can make it!

Still can't decide, agghh! It's a fair old distance and I didn't fancy going across on my own. But now Ed might be going. Hmmm. What happened to Spud?!

I've pm'd him but it's a bit late notice! This is all a bit last minute, I had no intention of going but a great drive this afternoon has put me in the mood! What time will you be setting off from Sheffield?

Yeahh deffo need some wheels...i fancy the bmw performance alloys...or the alloys they fit on the 320si saloon...
Just need to get that pesky insurance down...as soon as ive paid my dad a fair chunk of the money i borrowed...
New rims on order :P

Cracking day and perfect weather.

Great to meet everyone, friends of old and new :)

Fish and chips at the seaside and 350 miles in a day and some cracking good roads

Cheers Sammyz for organising

Sorry I missed this fellas. I couldn't face driving any further than necessary (i.e. home or work) in the 320d.

The only bit of it that's any good is the seats - which are cloth & alcantara sports seats with plenty of side support higher up your back.

Looked like a lovely day for it, but I needed some sleep after driving for 8 hours, two days on the trot.

A few pics ....
~Uneditted, so just as I snapped them. Nothing special

First stop by the lake, somewhat full of old folks and cavemen. I think they were serving Llama burgers

Sadly no pics of the Evo triangle and surrounding roads. Full concentration on the driving

Sweet pics mate...ive whapped them on facebook already :P
Just realised im the only one without a private plate...yet another thing to save up for...

We've got tonnes of pics to come.. handy having a passenger with a camera

Cheers John for organising, some awesome roads today - really enjoyed it. Thanks for waiting for us too, was a mad rush over this morning.

Shame we had to divert off at the end, but we'd gone well past "---" miles and it was the right direction for fuel / slightly qiuckers journey home. Pics in the morning after a sleep !

Great day out people, got back with the biggest grin on my face :) Thank you all for making my friend Vicky welcome also! Was an intimate meet but was great to see old and new faces... Well done also to Woots having the bottle to bring out his new baby after such a short time!

Tach'd up 400 miles door to door at an average of 31.3MPG!! Not Baad!!

Thanks to John for organising this and taking us on some amazing roads! At one point i could feel my fore-arms starting to get a real workout :driving:  Tyres are bedded in now!! :)

Hey guys... looks like you had a great day....Fantastic looking scenery
Due to work commitments I obviously had to give it a miss, but thing's are calming down a little so I should be out & about again soon....
Ed 31.4 MPG....... you sure..... but maybe with you all obeying the national speeds.....!!!!!!! :poke:

John, would it be possible for you to post the rough route we did (minus our diversion through the farm gate  )??

Ed,

Glad you enjoyed the drive! Some great roads in North Wales with very little traffic to spoil the drive.

I will post route for anyone who is interested when I get a chance tonight.
