Hi,
I may be able to make this, i won't know anyone but hey, can you put me down as a possible please

Yep, we were all in the same position when we turned up for our first run and now we have quite a few good friends through the forum - Our NE runs brought together friendly groups last year each time. I'll add you to the list as a possible. (Before the run I'll be sending my mobile number to all those on the list - do send me a text or ring though if you are not coming, to save us wasting time waiting at the start).

The first run I remember it was just me and you (Paul) ......and now were out nearly every week honestly couldn't think of anything else or better to do absolutely love it and like Paul says we've made some good friends along the way. :driving: :D

Suspect :D

Right folks - latest forecasts looking a bit ominous but let's hold our nerve. . . been out for some enjoyable runs lately so we just need a clear spell.

I'll send an outline of the route and our mobile phone number to all those expressing an interest in attending by pm. Do contact us if you are going to be late or not arriving at the start - we don't want to be waiting needlessly. Route directions /sheet will be given out at the start briefing and that will have our mobile number at the top in case of issues on the run.

Those that haven't been on a run before have a read through the post for run virgins outlining etiquette and what to expect, on the Runs/Events/Meets section of the forum. We have a briefing at the start so any questions or comments then or do give me a ring before the run. There's lots of sections where the road is obvious so no one should get lost nor left behind. There will be plenty of catch up points where we'll all pull over. We are driving on public roads so spirited but safe and responsible driving is the norm but that depends on road and traffic conditions.

Watch out for your pms this week - Thanks.

:driving:

Fingers crossed Paul the weather will be ok
Really looking forward to a hoon my zed has only managed to get to the car park at work since December :(

:driving:

Today, Mike and I set out to check the route after the forecast of snow on Monday. No problem even at the highest point so pleased to confirm that as of today (Wed) THE RUN IS ON.

Pms have been sent to all those taking part which include my mobile phone number and details of the route (both will be provided on a route sheet at the briefing).

I'm going to make a last check of the road conditions on Friday. . . .

:driving:

Glad to hear all is good. Would have attended today but had a couple of things to sort out but looking forward to Sunday. :D

I think I might make this one Paul. I take it the start point is the usual Tesco car park.

Hi Laine, missed this post sorry - hope you can make it - be good to see you and find out the latest. (Will send you a pm)

Sorry you can't make it Nick, hope all is ok. I'm sure we'll see you soon. Thanks for letting me know.

Have a good day Paul - sounds like our drive/meets are in for some wild weather, at least no snow is forecast

Hi All,

Well the weather seems to be on our side - rain passing across on Saturday night and then cold but dry on Sunday  (Steph and I will take a last check run of the route Saturday afternoon).

You should have all received my pm. We will bring route sheets with us (with our mob tel no. on top) to give out at the briefing.

Please get in touch if you are not coming, as we don't want to be waiting needlessly at the start. Fuel up (there is petrol available along the route) and we meet in the Tesco carpark opposite their petrol station.

See you all on Sunday

:driving:

Hi Mark - well, the weather will be good enough (a little windy perhaps so we'll drop the seats a touch!) - it's amazing the difference 24 hours can make. The great thing is that the recent rain has cleaned up a lot of the road surface

We've had a bit of a wait for this one having cancelled in Feb, so just glad to be going ahead!

Hope your meet goes ok (got a buyer lined up yet - maybe someone at the meet :o :D )

:driving:

Tyler Durden - Lee, you've not picked up your pm (personal message) from me yet. Click on the 'new msgs' link on the red section top of the page and check out your Inbox of messages.

Cheers, Paul.

:driving:

Yep, you're all chomping at the bit up there, no doubt about it :driving:

No the car is still tucked up, & might well be staying (I'll explain later :) )

The weather is pretty unsettled so fingers crossed
Shame Swiftly won't be able to make it. :(
I even gave the old girl a wash for Sunday............not detailed just washed . Haven't had time to clean the Z though.

Unsettled but consistently the forecast has been for the rain to pass through before Sunday when it will be dry but cooler with some wind. Compared to what it might be I'm relieved!

Yep - disappointing Nick won't be there. But I'm sure we'll catch up later in the season.
Like your wash comment - made me laugh  That's all I'm going to be able to do before Sunday as well.

:driving:

You all must be mad. It will be -10, six feet of snow and 100 mph winds.
Never said I was sane.
See you in the morning
