In Sport mode there is less assistance with the steering (it feels heavier). Does this mean there should be a slight improvement in fuel economy in Sport mode? 8) I've had it in Sport quite a lot in the last few days and I really like the quicker throttle response. If it turns out its more economical (in theory) due to having less steering resistance I think that will be my new permanent setting. :D At parking speeds it does feel a bit heavy though.

Can't vouch for the "new" Z4, but on the older ones, it means LESS fuel economy 'cause the quicker throttle response makes your right foot happy. :D

I've tried it in various modes on long highway drives and find the mileage to be better in Sport, possibly due to cruise control having quicker response times ?? I could be imagining it too...

I normally drive in Sport mode and manual shift the DCT.....but for easy fun I leave it in Drive and turn on Sport+. Leave "Normal" for traffic jams..

I find the SPORT mode more economical, mainly due, I think, to being able to keep the engine in the "sweet spot" of the power band, I think in NORMAL the engine turns at too low an RPM to get the best fuel consumption.
