nobbish question we have to aswer to people

As I made an attempt to put a large box in my boot yesterday to discover what I already expected that it did not fit, some young nob watching shouted over, thats what you get for buying a sports car, Ignoring his remark I opened the box and unloaded the contents into my boot closed it and put the box in the garage, I then shouted back "and thats what you can do when you employ common sense but I wouldn't expect you to know anything about that"
His reply was a quiet F**k off. :rofl: :rofl:

Reminds me of an ex work colleague, who bought and Mk3 Mondeo ST220. This was just after I had sold my Mk1 Mondeo SI24V. (which could just struggle to 140mph down hill with a tail wind).

Another one i just remembered is when a couple of acquaintances asked if it's a real M or if i just stuck on some M badges. They wouldn't believe me when i said it was a real one and they had me open the bonnet to prove it, when they saw something like this they then said that any one can get a valve cover with an M badge on it... Oh well.

power bands, double giggly sprocket thingies, lol at some of this thread :D

not had any stupid things said really - apart from "how old are you???" a few times. First up, I look young fine. Secondly (the bit I can't be arsed explaining) is how surprisingly affordable a Z4 is to buy and run. leave them to their ignorance that it's some sort of money-pit like an italian supercar!

I know i had a girl with me the other day and someone she knows came to the window and said 'you must have a very rich boyfriend' lol. Im 22 Im sure people think it must be mummy or daddys car :headbang:
 
It's not as bad as when I had my 840. I overheard a couple of guys talking about it in the office...
"nice car, must cost a lot"
"must be Gareths" (the MD at the time)

:roll: there are a lot of dull cars in my works car park but half of them still cost an awful lot more than the 840 (although maybe not on running costs)
