Evening all!
Got myself a E89 however car has been delivered and the battery is flat (can't get access to the boot... well documented everywhere!)
I helpfully have another E89 (in bits - the new E89 is going to be the doner!) but can't seem to get any power to the new one to get the electronics up and running.
I attach a new battery using the red connector in the engine bay... and then the hazard lights go on, flickering very fast...
when I insert the key and press the start/stop button... we get a higher rate clicking noise?!

Any thoughts? I know the car previously would power up... (i've seen photos) but can't seem to get it to do it for me...
thoughts are appreciated
EDIT: ....might it be something to do with using the wrong battery? i'm using the spare battery from my other E89 attached would i need to code that battery?!?
oh! I've checked - the battery voltage is perfect and if i put it on the other E89 it seems to power up normally...
