am i not the only one who said that the advery was not great

better pictures of wheels perhaps?

i wasnt slating, only saying that its a poor advert even by ebay standards.

so tell you what stop being pricks and jumping all over me, saying im resposnible for people leaving, just because i said an advert was poor.

if you have true issues (the OP) please contact me via PM and i will happily have a conversation.
if however your keyboard is your greatest protector in life than im sorry for you.

 ease up there Mr 11 o,clock brew :D gave me a right chuckle that :P
unless ive read it wrong i don't think you were personally being singled out as a reason others have or are leaving the forum  to reach that level annoyance you would need to show the sheer audacity of talking values down on M cars or worse still  actually comment even slightly negative on a For Sale thread involving a M car :D

Cheers. Going to have a think about them. They certainly tick a few boxes but I've struggled to envisage them on my car to be honest

No worries, if you're local you're welcome to try a test fitment, near Warwickshire or Surrey
Let me know

'fraid not sorry, I'm about 400 miles away!

Spotted these not too far from me...

They looks pretty good. Has anyone seen these on a z4 before?

Also quite like the look of these.

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F222566563684

Is there anything in particular I need to be aware of of wary of when buying wheels on eBay?

Cheers

No different to any other retailer they are brand new and I suspect they'll be spot on for that price

Nice one, cheers

Take a trip to Skidz in Falkirk Greg, there are several concave styles similar price to the eBay ones but you'll be able to see them. That's where I got my Zito 935s!

How noticeable is the ride difference between 18" and 19"?

Came across these 19s and they're tempting. My only problem now is that by the time I've put some half decent tyres on there in getting to the point where I could be buying Mr Wilks' Quantum's :poke:

I remember when putting 16" alloys on a nova was considered insane

Yes,and when I put 15inch alloys on my 1990 Cavalier, back in 92,when there were not alot of cars running anything more than 14s,lol.
Now our be Tiguan has 20s as standard

Still looking. Don't desperately need wheels for a couple of months yet but always got my eye open.

Budget has been upped to a MAX £650

Still got my eyes peeled for something within budget.

I noticed tonight that a set of wheels I'd been watching on eBay were just reduced 25%...

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F172692879379

Can anyone advise the best tyre setup for these please? Comfort more important that a sleek look and j understand with the right tyres a 19" set can be decent.

Also if I'm looking for decent part worn branded tyres where should I be looking for these?

Thanks!

Very reasonable price , what i would say ( & they may be perfectly fine ) is the paint / lacquer on cheaper reps may not be the best so be prepared for a possible refurb should they start to look shabby after a winter or two .

Cheers for the advice. That kinda price leaaves me about £250 for rubber. Is that going to be enough for some good part worn or do I need to reset my expectation a bit?

£250 should get you a very decent set of part worns fitted + balanced . Would need to be patient to get 4 matchers though
