Definately nationwide.
The forum only gives a small incite to what some people think, most members on here will not join in with any discussions like this that may put them on the wrong side of the majority, or just not want to get involved at all.
All the way through this all the herd have wanted was for the pubs to be open, football to be played and able to go on holidays.
People have been getting slated for not having the vaccine with them being called selfish and not doing it for the country, the same could be said for anybody that has had 2 jags thinking that they are ok and can carry on like nothing has happened.

Can’t agree with you there Stuart/ Nictrx with respect…if we’re going on surveys that haven’t happened and zero evidence of such country wide as you suggest then here’s only my view: Folk on here are sick to f***ing death of the whole shebang and are more than intelligent enough to make their own mind up on the jab etc, etc, yes I agree some don’t want to post because they don’t want to get into some droning on bollocks with the likes of Flyingfifer and a couple of others that love to mock and quote whatever stats crap they can dredge up etc, and appear to be on a crusade that I think we all know, I’ll also add to that maybe some don’t have the balls,I don’t know, just a theory, to get into it. I’d suggest most want to talk about cars on here and come here to forget the bloody virus for a while, so ignore it, we all live with it and know what’s happening. Personally I’ll take whatever Chris Whitty, JVT, and the rest say over some zero knowledge of the thing individuals on here, a view I’d suggest taken by the amount of jab offers taken up over not taken up country wide. Flying etc, will say we’re sheep, who the f**k cares, what does he know, if he knew so much he’d have this s**t over and done with long ago.

The majority know what’s going on, the others can say and do what they want to an audience I’d suggest of not many. Of course just imho.
Im not sure why you are saying you are disagreeing with me when most of what you have said is agreeing with me.
You said people are sick to death of the whole thing so lets just get on with it now? Thats not following the science.
You are right that people should probably be following the science advice of people like Chris Whitty, so why does the government keep tempting people with things like the pubs are open later for the football?
As for some not wanting to post in case they are mocked by Flyingfifer etc, there are a fair amount of insults going the other way with the same people resorting to childish insults and name calling as the only way to get the upper hand when their argument fails or cannot be backed up.
I dont think anybody has actually said on here that nobody should take the vaccine either, just that people should be wary and only take it if they are in the vulnerable groups as this may be their only choice.
Anyway, the place has been quiet without you, good to see you back

That Flyingfifer is a right a***hole.

Coming at us with facts and figures. Don't need that s**t- doesn't fit the narrative.

And as for these double jags? Who do you think you are? John Prescott? I hope one of them is an Ipace as it's not very environmental friendly.

I was meaning just on the forum, folk being sick to death of it here, why pretty much no one is replying etc, which is what I thought you were talking about. :?

I’m not insulting Flying, I’m merely saying I don’t give two chuffs what he thinks as he won’t about me. :D

(I love the guy really, we meet up now and again for drinks, you know, so I can sit there and not have a bloody clue what he’s saying…..Scottish twat…….)

Well a couple of additions to this thread ….

My wife is involved at board level in a multi property business (over 2000 premises) & they have discussed asking employees to either delete the app or not bring phones into work with them as their business does all it can to be COVID secure - there are a lot of employees who are suddenly having to take 10 days off for coming to work

I did not have the App, never wanted it & am a teacher. Thursday we got a message that one of the kids had tested positive so we all needed to do PCR tests. I’ve come back positive for Rona - I’m now inundated with texts & emails telling me I need to download the App & fill in a load of information which I’ve done but I’m now going to delete it & not leave the house for 10 days :headbang:

What’s Rona?
I suspect predictive text “Corona “

If you have tested positive. then the warning / instructions that have been give to you should be afforded to others you’ve come into contact with?

The app is probably over sensitive but that’s more of an inconvenience.

See I am again being misrepresented... again, so time for the 19,275th statement of intent.

If you want the Jab, go get it, I am 100% behind you and have encouraged others who are in high risk groups to do the same.
I dont want the Jab, that doesnt make me a monster or ill-informed or stupid etc etc. So just let me make my own choice and dont attack me for it

Thats it :idunno:

George Bernard Shaw once wrote that “Youth is the most precious thing in life; it is too bad it has to be wasted on young folks.”

Hey look John, you have been misrepresenting me since December last year and I have been consistent throughout, surprising you haven't managed to understand that as yet

I don’t smoke....I’m not that stupid.

What are you getting so irate for...? Calm the f**k down...!

I’m assuming you know why we have taxes...? have you any idea how much is paid in taxes for the health service and then not taken by people that don’t get ill...? Enough is paid to care for cancer patients, we just don’t have a cure yet, that’s nothing to do with money, do you really think cancer wouldn’t have been taken care of by now if it was possible...? It all goes in a pot, to be distributed where needed, and if you don’t need it fine, good for you, but you’ve still paid for it. Tbh I’ll take what the scientists say about the vaccine over a chap that has no evidence to back his claims up by grasping an illness out of the air like diabetes. All the evidence says the vaccine is safe, save for a very few that will have side effects, that’s life I’m afraid, I could be one of them and I’ll take whatever it throws at me when the time comes I get it. Do you agree with letting people smoke in public again..? The risks of smoking are known, it affects more than the smoker, same with covid.

Rest assured I'm far from irate  it would be a stretch to say I'm even mildly miffed

At no point have I argued for people not to have the vaccine, I have simply stated that I will hold off and am in no rush to get it, which, at the risk of being presumptuous, is more or less the position of the other folks that have said they are wary and will wait.

My argument is one of personal choice, if you fear the virus, get the vaccine, if you dont really then feel free to wait or not have it at all. Whereas yours, as far as you have articulated it, is one of take the vaccine or you're (in effect) a bad person/idiot/shouldn't be treated by the NHS

There are times in life you might not want to do things but going the extra mile to do them might make all the difference, sometimes it's not about you but everyone around you.

Tim.

Nothing in that statement I made about you not being treated by the NHS… :? You’re misrepresenting now sire.

Flying we really don’t need to get into all that again, it’s been flogged to death. My comment last page was merely my own observations on his statement in the spirit of discussion which a stand by; I don’t care what you think about me taking the jab, nor do you care what I think about you not taking it. :)

It’s only because millions in society have gone and had their jabs that some restrictions are being relaxed at this time.

Other than being hunkered down in their own little worlds the folk like FF et al have done bog all to help.

Its not about anyone as an individual - its those closet to you, what if you pass it onto an elderly relative who then passes away, something avoidable we all hope.

I have had mine as have my kids all in their 20's, my son was against it but used his common sense as he has elderly grandparents so had the jabs.

There would also be some bobble hatted juvenile reporter spouting cr4p on you tube Facebook social media telling them how it’s an individuals own choice if he should fight and giving stats!

Wonder if the BBC will ever tell these chaps that even when vaccinated they can still catch and pass it on.

Probably a couple of weeks before there are more double vax'd cases of covid than there are vax free.

I just wonder, once Covid is treated just like seasonal flu, which won't be long now, and we all get annual boosters with our flu jabs and begin to live with it, what will all these anti vaxxers and doom and scaremongers post on sites such as these?
I was trying to be humorous. Always difficult with the written word. After my failure, I will stick to politics as I am a good liar. :(
wasn't targeted at anyone in particular, just a genuine question

Surely all that’s proving is that the number of people who’ve been vaccinated outnumbers the people who’ve been to frightened of the vaccine.
No wonder the numbers are changing.
I wonder what that graph would look like if there was no vaccine available?

I hesitate to ask but but I think you will have to explain the reasoning behind that (more vaccinated than non vaccinated)

The BBC and other media have all reported on the percentages of fully vaccinated people getting the bug, the Numbers Hospitalised and those unfortunately who have died.
