That's the Bi-Xenon though. My car was never spec'd with Xenons from the factory. Just the Halogens.
I checked the "replacement" part number for the left headlamp by chassis number with the BMW dealer this afternoon and it's the same as the number stamped on the headlamp itself so I'm fairly confident they are the original lamps.

How do you find the ride with the 19s and eibachs? I'm umming and aahing about 19s - I'm more interested in how the car drives though and don't want to lose compliance over bumper roads....

Love it - the wheels look fantastic and really suit the car.
I really like the front splitter as well. Like others have said, it doesnt look aftermarket and finishes it off a treat.

It's good to be fair! The Eibach's improved the ride quality on their own, but going onto the 19"s and opting for a non-RFT (Goodyear Eagle F1) has improved it again! The car is quieter, slightly nicer steering feel and doesn't have the bad habit of pulling you all over the road at lower speeds like it used to!

Cheers! I thought long and hard about the wheels and I'm so glad I braved it in the end!
The only downside is it turns a lot of heads which isn't really my thing, but it's just fantastic to drive

Ta man! I'm probably gonna go for a custom made exhaust within a year or so once I'm happy with the house I reckon, but for the time being, it makes all the right sounds to put a smile on my face

Private plate went on today too which I'm happy about. Finally got the DVLA to sort out the colour mix up.
Wonder how many other Ruby Black cars were registered as "Red" on their V5c's.

As some of you are aware, I've been rather busy concentrating on my home rather than my car for the past few months!
I've replaced my front door for a Kevlar lined composite one, repainted a fairly large section of my living room Orange, built a glass block wall to replace a tired old bannister rail and done a complete remodel on my bathroom!

Despite all this, I did manage to find time the other day to give the Coupé a coat of Autosmart Platinum polish and 3 coats of a FK1000p
Unfortunately this low light picture came out a little odd... I think my lens might have got a bit wet whilst taking the picture in the rain

As you can all see, the car now has it's new plate installed
'BM07 ZZZ'

My next few jobs are probably going to be:
* Braided Brake Lines
* Automatic Gearbox Oil and Filter Change

Haha, Not the normal thing for someone to put in a car build/maintenance diary, but here goes...

So, Here it is with the original bannister removed and the newel post sawn off at the base

I dealt with the guys at Glassblock Technology Ltd. in Hyde - Cheshire, and chose one of their PV kits
First up is the basic Wood / PVC Frame work all cut to size ready for the glass blocks

First layer of blocks in position with a few more stacked up at one end for stability

Blocks all in position and a custom wooden frame that I knocked up in the loft

A quick picture of it letting some of the light into the living room from the front door

Then I painted the living room!

And now the light it orange, which is cool cool cool!

I think the whole project cost me around £260-£270 including the wood frame and gloss paint.
Really happy with the outcome! Helps block the cold air from coming up the stairs which helps a ton in winter!

Braided hoses now ordered!

As well as a pair of Front Hoses, I've just ordered a pair of custom rear hoses to the following specification:
Fitting 1: Swivel Female Circlip Fitting M10 x 1.00 - Straight
Fitting 2: Male Swivel Nut M10 x 1.00 - Straight
Support 1: Bobbin Grommet
Support 2: Circlip type Small Nut
Hose Colour: Clear
Length: 720mm (length of Hose excluding Fittings)
Quantity: 2

Hopefully these should do the trick!

Fantastic thread , read it all. .
I like the alloy rims, probably would prefer the csl, but this ones are for sure less common!!
I like also that you'vê fiited the 225 and 255 tires on 19 inch.
Hows The ride comparing with 18 s on run flat, I ve tried going for pilot sport but did find them to soft !!!
I live in Portugal and the roads are significantly better than uk..

I'd only want the genuine ones if I was going for CSL's and they are a bit too much money for me at the moment.
The standard widths seemed like the best options really.

Comfort wise, they feel better than the standard 18" RFT's.

Well, Today marks the 1-Year Anniversary of me picking up my Z4 Coupé and what a year it has been!
I may only have covered just under 1200 miles in the car, but it's been just under 1200 miles of sheer enjoyment

Anyway - carrying on as normal, I've now received my custom brake hoses:

I'll get some pics as these go on the car, which will hopefully be some point next week and will be deciding on what brake fluid to use over the next few days too!
