Newlands corner meet, 20th November.

Looks like I'm out, work takes prescedence unfortunately, I will have to look forward to the pictures and the next one

I am a newbie here but if I persuade the management to come I might be able to join you. What is Newlands, just a gathering of like minded?

Yup, thats about it. Plus the nice early Sunday morning drive with no traffic is always and added bonus. The lotus lot usually meet there too and a load of motorbikes. Basically we stand around, drink coffee and chat cars.

There's a list somewhere of where people are meeting beforehand so if you're near any of those places you can join the convoy to Newlands.

That's a shame JimsZ, see you at the next one. I'll remove you from the list.

Yup, disappointed but out of my hands for this one. Look forward to the next one

Weathers looking 'iffy' for Sunday but a bit of rain won't stop me. :P

I suggest we keep a close eye on the weather and make a judgement call nearer the time. If people are still keen, we could worse case scenario, all meet at Newlands and then drive to somewhere we can avoid getting soaked!

Its now looking particularly bad over night into the morning, very windy and wet! Our first winter storm of the season.
I have a bit of a journey as I'm not local and would be looking to leave around 07.45, I need to keep an eye on the weather as it's looking quite bad with gusts of 65mph and debris possible.

Weather is looking better according to my sources. Wind and rain to start reseeding at about 8am.

Ca'mon you lot, it's only a bit of wind and rain. It's not exactly hurricane Katrina! :driving:

Hi, yes updates are better! Looks like it's blowing through in the early hours so conditions should be better so it's still on for me!

I am in between Petworth and Newlands Corner and the forecast for tomorrow morning is a lot better now than it was. I think it has all arrived a bit sooner than originally thought - it's pi$$ing down here right now!

See y'all tomorrow! :)

Still looking good, I have an hours journey at least. Look out for me driving past lost lol. :driving:

Yeah, seems like the shite weather arrived a bit earlier. Means my car cleaning was wasted but at least should mean a better meet in the morning!

No car cleaning for me today which is a shame as I love cleaning my car for a meet, I did however fit my LCi side repeaters that came today.

The rain has officially gone! ( For tomorrow that is and according to the "experts").

See you all tomorrow!!

Yellow warning of rain
From:

To:

Updated 3 hours ago
A spell of heavy rain and some very strong winds are expected to sweep across southern and southeastern parts of England during Saturday night and Sunday morning. Gusts of 45-55 mph are likely inland and 60-65 mph near English Channel coasts, but we expect the strongest winds to affect coastal counties from the Isle of Wight eastwards, where 70-80 mph gusts are possible (see separate Amber warning).

Please be aware of the risk of difficult driving conditions due to localised surface water flooding and possible debris from trees.
