'Newby' 'starter-for 10' questions.

Thanks for your help guys! ok, I can take a hint (L.O.L!!) I will post some pic's/learn how to do it soon! - been busy/loss of job etc. but back in now!

Have read on Forum most trickle charge with the CTEck by connecting straight to the battery terminals. I don't have this model, but just bought a Maypole Smart Charger MP7425 which trust will be ok. It does say in instructions however it will only charge a 12v with a minimum residual charge of 8 volts!

I'm a tad concerned that when trying to charge via the underbonnet connections the charger wouldn't charge/behave in the lights/charging sequence it should, but worked ok on my family saloon (where battery ok!).

Trust there's no prob then if I try connecting straight to the battery in the boot (even though the car manual intimates best to take battery out in winter and charge!).

By the way Mr Wilks, I love your wheels/alloys!!

Sorry for all these questions from a newby, but if I want to disconnect the battery from the boot to take/replace/charge how do I deal with the small 'plastic tube' with a black 'elbow/bend' connected to the left side of the battery seemingly???? do you/can you just 'pull off at the battery end??
