Wow very exciting stuff the electrics side of things scare me away from this kind of thing!! So i will be very keen to hear what you have to do to get it running and working. Any plans for swapping the lsd out of an M car? I think its a straight swap and high up my list. What are you doing with the old engine?

Engine up for sale with 80k on it,perfect running order. I was genuinely seeing 30.3 urban and on a run 36/37
Mpg, I was very impressed with economy. The V10 who knows!

wow some progress now... do you have a car lift? i'd imagine its pretty difficult sorting out the gearbox and running gear crawling under some axle stands :lol:

But seriously cant wait to see the outcome of this.... There are a few proper exciting mod threads going on at the moment, aside from the usual wheels and caliper painting threads.

I have 2 two post lifts and a scissor lift that you see the z4 sitting on in pics. Will be on 2 posts this weekend when motor and box depart.

Just check out YouTube bmw v10 engine, there's a video of an engine on dyno from Specialist components. ENJOY. This is my route.

My advice... add another 6 months onto your project estimate and another 2 grand and that's realistically what it's going to cost you / take.

I'm planning my touring holiday for next summer, so has to be completed for then or hopefully sooner.

Ah 6speed manual. This is very rare find and very few people know what to use.

Managed to do a bit tonight, dismantled all the items around the engine bay ready for pulling the motor out on Saturday.
I'll post up pics of its removal.

Hi I noticed you have a big brake conversion, what setup do you run? I'm planning on adapting my RS6 8pot brembo's and 362mm performance friction discs and bell to suit.
Hoping I can make them work.

Just finished , dinner down and time to post up some pics on my progress today. It may look like its dropped in but there's a lot of mods required to install the V10.
This was the simple part, dismantling is always easy.
