WOW i haven't been around for a long time, this is top notch
Must have been as I've been on this project for over 2yrs, but it's very close now. Tonight I grew some and took it out for some seat time. I'm struggling to describe the experience from all the modifications as it feels so different to the 30 SE I once owned.
First of the quick rack has given the electric column some real feed back and is very sharp. Secondly the engine has now become the dominant feature in the car, with stiff engine mounts and all the bushes done through out you know there's a very special engine tucked beneath the bonnet. As for the power it's seriously quick and just pulls relentlessly to beyond 8500rpm, you notice the gearing is quite tall and can throw you a bit with the numbers it pulls in each gear.
I still need to have the geo's set up properly but need to let the springs settle before it's done.
As for the sound under load, that just has to be heard it's just insane. Normal driving is fine if a little boomy around 2000/2500rpm, that may be addressed by baffled tail pipes.
I need to put plenty of miles on her and iron out any niggles that are there, and there is a few, but to say I'm rather pleased is huge understatement.

A tough job - but somebody has to do it :D.

If you need anyone else to put some miles on I can easy pop down 8)

Sounds epic Stevie - you must feel a huge sense of achievement, sounds like just a few little niggles to sort out before its finished. So are you still on target for an appearance at the Nationals in the Lakes at beginning of July?

Its looking good stevie, did you get the suspension done by the company that was interest in the project or have you gone with a home brew of off the shelf parts
Hi Mark. It's direct from Marcus at KW head quarters, they're Club sport Z4M tweaked to suit my application. So they are bespoke in all fairness.
I'm really trying to do the Lakes in July as its probably the easiest for me to fit in.

Hi Stevie,
Are you on target for coming to the National,Lakes meet in July?
Hope so,be great to see you and your lovely car there :D :driving:

bet you loved the road time! hopefully get to see/hear this in the flesh at a meet soon :D

Thanks lads. Been away the weekend so wasn't able to post up. I'm trying to pop down to the Lakes, will probably be sat/sun if all goes to plan.
Thought I better post up about the Z4 and more so myself. I took a massive seizure at work 14 days ago and had to have large blood clot removed from my brain, so far everything's went as planned and hopefully home tomorrow for some rest and recoup. Not sure what's allowed driving wise as now have 3 new ports tapped direct to brain/ecu. Always looking to do something different so we could run launch control, flat shift and Mmm nitrous. Before any of that I'm going to get my oldest son to take me out in it and put some miles on it as he's of just now with knee operation. As a passenger I might get a better feel for the car and see other areas I'd like to cover.
I certainly want to pop down to the Lakes and spend time with fellow members, so looking forward to that as will my wife and boys.
