Hey all

Just thought I’d introduce myself ive recently bought loonys Imola Z4m coupe.

Had been looking at z4s for a long time after having owned a 2.5 Se back in 2004. Loved it back then and after covering 200 miles in her in two days (bringing home) I am not disappointed.

I’ve had quite a chequered history with cars and when funds have aloud I have snapped up a few that interest me. I find myself wanting to scratch the itch of cars I either had when younger or the ones I lusted over (such as the z4m).

Currently running a 93 phase 1 clio Williams, 91 phase 1 16v, 2019 Mini Countryman PHEV with the JCW pack, 2020 Audi Q8, 2018 mclaren 570s spider, now my 2006 Z4MC, and a daily Mercedes Vito 119 crew cab.

Once I get chance I’ll get some pictures of the z along side the others.

Cheers

Anthony

I welcomed you on Looney's "Sold" thread so won't do a repeat.

But your collection looks great.

As others have said, cracking garage if cars there Anthony

Spoilt for choice, and a car for every mood, lol.
A dream garage for many folk.

Welcome to the Forum, and hopefully you get to enjoy putting some miles on it next year :driving:

Welcome to the forum! Lovely car collection. What's the McLaren ownership experience like? Has it been reliable? Does the servicing and insurance go up by a huge factor compared to a "regular" sportscar? I have a friend with a Ferrari 458 Spider and his first year's insurance was thousands simply because he hadn't owned a supercar before.

Lovely collection - I LOVE the Clios!! Big 90's hot hatch fan over here :driving:

I'm also incredibly jealous of your actual garage - so much space! I've had to leave my MC out on the drive for the minute as I converted the garage into a gym for lockdown - I don't have space for both

Hi Mikey

It’s been gold for me had no issues with the car- only small issue I had was a squeak from the roof rubbers which mclaren sorted by waxing them. Other than that it’s been a brilliant car (depreciation aside 🙈)

I think the price point they are at currently they represent a bargain.

Mine is 2 years old and hasn’t had anything major done on the servicing side - it’s comparable with Lamborghini serving £1100 to £1400 dependant on the dealer. I won’t keep it past this summer mainly due to the warranty expiring. I’ll be looking to replace it with something else in June / July time.

Nice! I am tempted to go and test drive one of those. There's a thread about it in another section of the forum: https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=125637

Thanks for the info re. owning a McLaren. The used prices of some of the models make it seem a possibly attainable dream (one day quite a long time from now!).

I do hope you'll pop a thread up upon delivery - one of the most exciting cars of 2020 I think personally!

I used to have a ‘92 red Clio 16V when I was 20, absolutely loved that car but didn’t appreciate the french build quality. That said it was also that I didn’t have the money at the time to address electrical and rust issues that crept in.

A year or so ago I started looking for a similar 1.8 16V or Williams but there’s so little in the market. Seeing your cars Anthony81 has reignited this again :headbang:
