There's a dyno printout on Superchips website for the generic donor car.https://www.superchips.co.uk/curves/E89Z418i.pdf
This is one of the reasons that I went for Superchips.

If you trawl through the archives here you'll see a great example of someone who bought a Celtic Tune re-map based on the published graph only to find a couple of years later on a rolling road that the actual curve was nothing like the graph shown by Celtic Tune!

Having said that I've test driven a re-mapped 18 and stock 20 and 28 and the re-mapped 18 was very rapid, about as quick as a 35i (not 35is)

I've had two remaps done by Celtic. Nice people, but I had trouble with both vehicles that could have been attributed to the maps. Had two or three cars done by Superchips, and experienced only minimal issues that were resolved quickly. Also had a few cars done by Motech Performance without issue and for a very reasonable price.

You may or may not be aware, but Superchips went tits-up a year or two back and the brand was bought by another remap business. I'm not sure whether the new owners are using any of the previously developed maps, or whether they just buy them in from a third party. Either way, I'm looking forward to Wednesday. :)

Well interested to hear how you get on..AFAIK people on this forum haven't got any recent knowledge of them..most have gone down a rolling road/custom tweak as far as I can see..I plan to buy a stock 20/28 and then get it re-mapped so following this with interest..I'll get mine done ona rolling road just so I can see the before/after..

I spoke to James who runs Remap Kings and Superchips the other day, as their two websites show quite different results. He assured me they were completely different maps, developed differently. He said a Superchips map would have been developed by Superchips and none use "generic" software. I too have used Superchips before (on a TD Vauxhall Omega). I had no problems with it at all in 50k miles. It made a big difference to driveability and increased mpg. Fingers crossed the same will be the case with this one.

That's good to know. Remap Kings did my mate's T6 a few weeks back and he's really pleased with the results. (Another case of a detuned engine that is used in different states of tune at different price points across the VW range.)
