I brought mine off a similar type I suppose. Small dealer, holds around 10 cars. But it was through AT & it was a listed company … not down as a private sale.

Chris Short, director of "Shorty's Motorsport & Sales Ltd", Cumbernauld, Glasgow. Listed company so why the private sale? Off the books sale is the only thing I can think of. Why? Mis-representation springs to mind. It isn't my money, or my car but I would run a mile just from that alone (unless he can give a bloody good reason with a phone call).PointedMarlin said:

if that is misrepresentation he is pretty dumb using his clearly placed plates on the car with the company name - more than likely could be his private car or just a balls up in the ad

Never heard of them but they look like a small outfit, operating from home, selling small number similar type/budget cars.

The broken wheel has me wondering though if there is any suspension damage behind it. The CAT marker wouldn't have been an issue either since I would have imported the car to Spain. If you source a second hand replacement wheel of the same type I can't see the cost of repair being more than 500€ excepting any suspension damage. I was actively looking for a such a car at the time but didn't see anything.
