New Windscreen Fitted - Trim Looks Bodged

I've spoken to National Windscreens and taken it to their depot for them to look at.

They have accepted it isn't right and hinted at the fact the windscreen has been fitted at a slightly wonky angle which further exacerbates the problem.

The car is going to their depot on Saturday for the windscreen to be removed and replaced. To be on the safe side I have purchased genuine BMW trim to be fitted this time.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that this will be the end of it!

You're mad buying new trim if they aren't re-imbursing you the cost.

I hear you fella! However for the sake of £24 I thought I'd get it for peace of mind. At least I now know it''ll be a genuine trim...

Had exactly the same issue when they fitted a new screen to my old S2000 - I left it a week, just in case it did improve, but no change at all. Phoned up an complained, they cam out again and fitted a brand new screen and trim, and it was perfect. Reckon it might be down to the fitter?

The chap that looked at it hinted at the fact the screen may have been installed at a wonky angle, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was down to the fitter...

Old Thread I know. But does anyone have a part number for the corner trim on the windscreen? Mine appears to have cracked in half, with half of it now missing.
Thanks.

Thanks for that.
For anyone else, the trim is one whole piece and can be fitted without removing the windscreen - check youtube for videos.
