New Video Cam

WLH, Siftah, I think I've had a break through in the sound department!

I bought a Sony voice recorder the other week - ICD-PX820, which wasn't brilliant on its own. I then added an external stereo mic - Sony DS70P, and the result is pretty good IMO (well, for about £30 spent). The sound in the cabin was still picking up too much wind noise for my liking so I tried taping it to the bumper, thusly:

I cobbled together a quick video clip to show the results:

Happy with that. All I need now is an extension cable for the mic so that I can keep the voice recorder in the cabin.

You certainly have, that sounds excellent!

I'm guessing the lack of wind noise is due to that low pressure area behind the bumper, excellent stuff I'll have to investigate further myself :)

(I'm hoping to get all this nailed by the time I head off to the Col De Turini in late August, which is my current holiday-plan!)
