Agree with most of this - but if Rory, Hitler and Bin Laden were in the same room and I only had 2 bullets, I'd shoot Rory twice.

Surprised that the viewing figures dropped again though, I thought they would have been going up after week 2 being a lot better than week 1.

Good to see that they are dropping the "jokes" about the old series, i.e. the "bomb shell" etc.

That seems a little harsh - if I was in that same room I might be inclined to shoot you twice, but as they say variety is the spice of life!

If EJ was there as well I would try to shoot myself twice - he is just such a boring gobsh*te!

If he knows so much about how to run a team he would presumably still be running one.........? :roll:

Haven't watched it since episode 1, the content may improve but they need different presenters, they all grate too much for sustained viewing, watching the footie instead which is rare for me.

Watched Vietnam Special 7-8 on Dave before new TG.

Key word is chemistry. New crew have zero and I have no confidence it will ever come. Can't wait for Grand Tour on Amazon!!

sabine is just a normal German , it's not just language that doesn't translate , that said she doesn't come across great to an English audience , cultural differences . The programme is growing on me , I've not had a problem with it since it started again , and it's not that long ago since most were saying it was last of the summer wine with the occasional car involved and to kill it off . Ej is just odd though .

I'm not sure I fully understand that statement?
 
I've been in German company a few times , it's just a little different , same with the French and Dutch , English people behave a bit different and have a different sense of humour , but we are very narrow minded and not open to change :lol:
 
I enjoyed last nights episode.

It's difficult to compare an new hands with old, I think the boots are maybe too big to fill. But as a show, it was okay.

I remain uncomfortable with Evans. It has made me wonder how he got on - a face for the radio maybe?

Eddie is there for his little black book of contacts.

Sabine, is a little awkward and a bit too much stiff.

I like the rest though. If they can stick around for five years they will be just fine.
 
Le Blanc seems to be growing into the role, the producers seem to be using him more than CE in the studio for the 'in-betweenies' (which helps a lot)
Chris Harris is a natural, he's got a lot of experience experience of fast car reviews and it shows
Eddie Jordan, while odd, acts as a counterpoint

Keep those three as the core, with occasional reviews by Rory, and bin the others

The 'stars in a car' segment is far too long - but it had been getting longer and longer on OTG (Old Top Gear) as well - I think last night's was about 16 mins so over a quarter of the show and CE makes it feel like one of his 'chats' on TGIFriday :thumbsdown:

god chris, and matt are horrific aren't they, so uncomfortable on screen!! Sabine bless her love her driving but again her presenting is borderline cringeworthy... turned it off today after vulcan piece.

Shame , think you would have liked the Tesla feature , shows where cars are heading longterm , eerily silent but seriously quick off the mark :evil:
