New TopGear tonight 8pm BBC2

So its now being reported that Matt LeBlanc has said he will quite the show unless Chris Evans is fired... sounds like there is trouble in the camp... :(

If Chris Evans left it would make the show 100% better. That said, I am enjoying it a lot now. The only bit that pisses me off - apart from CE - is the first/best car bit.
 
Hmm, some features are good, but generally I am finding that Matt Leblanc is actually a good presenter and his lines don't sound straight out of the clarkson/may/Hammond handbook like CEs.
ChrisH has had a few good outings now with gratuitous drifting with a bit of whackiness.
Still not completely decided on the rest...
 
I'd agree with most of the above.

MLB is getting better - he just needs to be unchained and left to say what he wants.
CE is.. well, CE. Never was going to be a fan.
RR + CH do the best pieces. Would be nice to see them do a group thing rather than just be the filler movies for more stupid CE content.
The new firstcar/bestcar bit is .. dull. I watched it on catchup an hour after it started and fast-forwarded through this.
Lack of car news (now on Extra Gear only...) is annoying.
The new track is s**t. One thing they should of carried over and didn't need changing (especially as they haven't changed it for fast car laps..)
Oh and Sabine.. well, meh.
 
Just caught up on iPlayer - did my usual and skipped the whole celebs bit (who the hell is Paul Hollywood anyway). Have to say I enjoyed it - Matt the-bloke is easing into the role and just gets better and better. Is it just me or are the producers nudging him into the shows anchor?

Exactly what I said to Cindy... they appear to be pushing him forward as the main studio presenter and leaving the TGITopGear-all-about-me interview segment as the Ginger Git's big audience-fronting piece
 
Well that seemed short :? last of the series tonight :( was just starting to formulate , here's hoping the feedback has landed at the producers door & they crack on for a next series without CE who is taking zero to the party :cry:

No chance... this is the BBC, so they gave the Ginger Git a three-year deal to front the show....

Mist the start of the 911 story :( . Went to make a cupa while Evans talked to himself, through the stars wasting time in a car bit. :tumbleweed:

Last show easily the best of the series, that I have seen. :thumbsup: Evans I still can't stand. :headbang:
 
In my opinion, the new Tg is certainly no worse than the old. Has everyone forgotten just how tedious it had become?

Yes, it would be much better without Chris Evsns. He is the weakest aspect.
 
Watch the extra gear show for this week and see if you think the elephant in the room is what i thought it was .. and nothing to do with what they discussed ;)

(a lack of CE on set).
