But you still watched to the very end.!!!!!!

Yeah indeed i did, I keep saying I'm never going watch these pricks again, but I do love the cars and often the adventures featured.

Range Rover or Range Rover Sport? V8 fuel consumption is savage, believe me. I had one. Could barely manage 8mpg but what a sound!!!

TDV8 is another matter....

I'd have either but for me a Range Rover is the real deal where as the Range Rover Sport has a bit of a stigma about it but he thinks it would be easier to park??? But yes looking at petrol V8s but his other car is a GTR which struggles to see double figures in town he's not bothered what so ever. We also do less than 2k a year on any of the cars, infact the GTR did a whole total of 180 miles between MOTs. I'm going to take him to the dealership tomorrow to have a look. This time I hope their customer parking is not taken up by cars coming off a transporter, unlike the Grey Paul Dealership in Edinburgh.

Looked like an organised ambush.

 no sh!t Sherlock

Yes dear Watson, so good of you to be so clued up on the climax of the investigation without needing to see the unfolding of events in the concluding footage. I do wish however you wouldn't be so hasty in submitting posts elsewhere by berating people over the lack of images of an event, only to realise that the uploading of images was still on going. Thus forcing you to withdraw your post to avoid any embarrassment. Don't for one moment think that didn't attract ones attention

That ending was crazy! I bet the 3 cars were bombed after they abandoned them [emoji15]

I said I would have burned the cars, Mike advised me that it was reported in Argentina that they had done so but looking at the footage we both highly doubt that. I suppose even if they had, they wouldn't have shown it.

Pretty brutal ending and still with the police little could be done to stop that outcome.

What's that got to do with you stating the bleeding obvious!? :poke:

All I said was 'all this time and you put three pics up' (which he did) and then when the others were put up in subsequent posts I deleted it....quite simple.

Top Gear is well past its sell by date, the problem is the BBC have nothing to replace it with.

Perhaps they weren't allowed to go with them.

This.

You reckon their insurance would allow them to go?
Nevermind the security, that if they were worth their money, would never let them go with them.

Infact, it doesn't even make SENSE for them to go with the crew.
think about it.. if they got pulled over and fully stopped, the crew could easily say that the three were not with them, and show them that to be true, potentially diffusing, or at least slightly calming a very, very dangerous situation (worse than what actually happened).
they were after the trio mainly, not the crew.. and if the three were there, there'd be no chance of diffusion.

I still enjoy top gear. I don't care that it's mostly staged. I don't care that it's mostly rinse and repeat television.
The fact of the matter is, the three of them make me laugh, and it's a 1,000 miles better than x-stritly-talent-factor-celebrity-dancing-outofhere.

And, tbh, the way the argentinians involved reacted was just plain wrong, regardless of what did or didn't happen.

Good post sk93.
I agree with you

I see top gear as an entertainment programme, not a car review programme like fifth gear.
Yes it is all staged but I find it entertaining (don't think fifth gear has ever made me laugh).

I thought it was really good and it being one of their most successful programmes worldwide it can't be a bad thing. It's this or bloody Downton Abbey bollocks.

Job well done and even the people who say they don't like it, watch it!!

Still think the Vietnam one was the best

Well I enjoyed the show - it's entertainment rather than reviews - has been for quite some time.

shame about the way it all ended, totally over the top by the Argentinians, no way would the trio have been able to go along with the crew.
