New to forum and Z4M Coupe

Think you need to disconnect the cd changer to install Intracee, but why would you still need the changer anyway?

aux in = £20 part and 20mins of messing about, so don't stress it's not there.

In what part of the country does the beast now reside ? :D

I thought someone would point that out!
I know it may become obsolete once I can hook up an mp3 player but I think I'd like to keep it.

I'll give it a go installing the Aux input this weekend. I'm pretty certain it'll take me a lot longer than 20 minutes though! :P

The car is now happily residing in south west London/Surrey.
Is there anyone else in that area? I'm sure there must be others around but I've yet to see a Z4M...coupe or roadster.

Mine is a 57 plate and doesn't have an aux in.

Think it was just your luck
yours definitely should.

you've checked under the heater panel? (above the heated seats etc).. it's very hidden !

The paint protection is a very good idea providing the paintwork is in good condition and chip free before hand, otherwise once it is on you cannot just remove it and then refit it. Got my Z4MC done from new by Paintshield in Grantham (head office) and if you want they could cover the whole car; at a price. You can order it online and have as much or little of your motor covered, I got the front bonnet complete, front bumper, head lights, wing mirrors, front wings and sills complete and then had the outside edges of the rear bumper next to the wheel done aswell with total cost coming in around the £1300 ish mark. It is alot of money but I can justify it because I'm keeping the car for a while and after 9000 miles there are very few marks on the car where the Paintshield has been applied. I counted about 3-4 small stone chips or marks where there are is no protection on the bumper and yes you will get marks on the protection film but I've not got any dents from larger stones. Besides, if you don't have the covering and get the front of the car sprayed every year or when ever, as soon as you drive out of the paintshop you'll get stone chips again. I swear by the stuff and after having other cars done with smaller applications this time I decided to go further and have more applied, it is worth it but at a cost.

I thought the paintwork on the z4 holds up quite well, I think I've only got one stonechip on mine in almost 30K and don't recall any on my old z4. Maybe being black you don't notice so much? For 1300 quid I personally I wouldn't bother, just spend that on petrol and enjoy the car like you should! :driving:

Taka, you are being advised by idiots here. Nobody actually knows the answer to your question but all the usual daily pratts seem to know everything - but nothing. Speak to BMW UK. :headbang:

£1300!? wow. That's not exactly small change... :o
But I suppose if you can consider the cost of respraying panels it may be worth that bit of investment...

It's good to know there are (and were) members around my region. I'm near Kingston. Maybe I'll catch sight of one of you some day :)

I got mine done by Paintshield too, but mine was excluding the sills & rear bumper, but came in at slightly less than £750. Unfortunately when I got mine done they didn't offer anything more than what I got, otherwise I would have probably had the whole car done :)

Hah.. when I first got my M 3yrs ago I used to regularly head for that tunnel in the middle of Kingston.. 2nd gear and floor it, then watch people give me disaproving looks as the lights changed to red right in front of me.. sounded bloody fantastic with the roof down 8)
