New project : Z4M -> 35is

Hi.

Just bought myself a 2010 35is 8)
Coming from two Z4 M Coupes I wanted to try something new.

Since I am only crusing with my cars and maby some spirited driving occasionally I thought that the E86M wasn't the car for me.

Well my friend posted that he was gonna sell his mint condition 2010 E89 and I thought what the heck. I had a M6 E63 before so I "knew" how it was to drive a SMG but the DCT is light years a head.

I haven't driven so much yet but I looooove the car. Haven't missed the 3rd pedal at all.

I thought that if you have any question about the switch feel free to ask. I know that there are people out there thinking of doing the same move.

Very nice, I noticed it's had the lci indicators & black M sport grills fitted

Congrats on the upgrade,looks immaculate.

Thanks guys :)

It has some mods already:

M performance high gloss grill
LCI black indicators
M Performance pedals
H8 LED white angeleyes
LED lights above the reg.plate

And the most important mod.... ESS stage one tune so it's fast as hell haha...

Im planing on bigger/better IC, downpipes and some other tubing parts.
Then maby springs, CF-lip, CF-splitter etc :)

We'll see ;)

Different cooler and charge pipes with remap can get you up around 460bhp IIRC...

What is it currently at ?

Yea - wait for it! Car looks great and built to do exactly what you want from it . A great long-distance cruiser that you can have some fun with when you want thanks to the DCT and Adaptive Suspension (that works great with run-flats - wash my mouth out). I Enjoyed a lot of miles in the Z4 Flagship!

Thanks :)

The car does have Kumho Ecsta PS91 so I cant compare to the RF :/

From the pics, it looks like an example that defines immaculate! Very nice indeed

Lowering springs. Yes or no?
If so: H&R or Eibach? And why?

I have adaptive suspension. Any problems?

No. 35is is already 10mm lower than standard. What's the point? On 19's you're already quite low and the arches are fillled. Just use adaptive.

Nice looking car.

Thanks for your reply.

Compared to my previous Z4M with H&R springs the 35is looks like a 4X4 compared :D

Eibach, just a subtle 10mm drop upfront makes a a good difference.

H&R are way to low IMO and makes the arch overlap the wheel which always looks meh imo.
