Thanks again for the comments and glad there is so much love for the red.

I would give an awful lot to put some csl's on the car but the price makes me wince. My neighbour has an m3 with csl's perhaps he would be interested in a trade :P .

Welcome to the forum

Very nice, best colour by far! Definitely get some CSLs it transforms the look of the car, then you will want to drop her a little bit, and then.... and then....Careful it gets addictive...

:o That is a lovely M DONDP, please stop tempting me to part with more money. Out of curiosity  how much was the set of csl's you bought and how terrible are the fakes that are all over eBay? Not that I'd even be considering it.

Also how impaired is the ride on normal roads with the lowered suspension?

Here's a couple more pics from The weekend

Surprisingly, that set on the car are reps! I run a set of reps on the road and OEM CSLs on the track. Tbh for road use I can't fault them and they look identical bar a BMW badge. I got them from prestige wheels and the manufacturer is YSM, be careful though as some other copies don't provide the same rear deep dish.

Cost wise the reps were about £500 without tyres the OEMs £1200 in mint condition but with non road legal tyres. Others on here have gotten them cheaper I believe.

With regards to suspension, I went with eibach springs first which offer an improvement in ride quality and road holding over stock. I have since gone with H&R coilovers which are similar to stock in ride comfort but road holding is in another league. Small bumps are damped much better but bug bumps you know about...

Welcome, I'm just selling up and you've just bought

You'll love it. Mine looks very similar to Don's, except he's got these silly rubbish looking aero bubble skirts on, can't think why he'd want those...?!

Defo get some CSL's, reps are good quality as long as you get some good ones. Are you a fan of the ///M badge on the grille? Does look very shiny :)

Lovely looking car, as Woody will tell you, Imola Red is the 2nd most popular of all the ///M colours!

Hi Lee, it's a great car I suppose...I mean it's no M3! But for £6k it's very nice, performance and comfort are very good, couldn't think of anything that could beat it on price (considering age/mileage/spec etc). The noise and sense of occasion is what I'm missing most at the moment compared to the MC. At least I didn't have to buy a 1.6 Vectra or similar though I suppose!

The Z4MC Woody is such an epic package as you say & the sound is something special, but for the money I think your decision on the MPS is a great one  & you still how power to play with which is better imo than driving something gutless, you would have never got over the Zed then :)

I am going to assume shiny is bad from this point on. Yea the m badge may need to come off and be replaced with the black kidney grills a few members have. It looks like its starting to get some bubbling rust anyway. :x

Sorry to hear your getting rid of yours woody, looks like a lovely motor but, an mps sounds like a smart move.

Cheers for the advice Don I'll probably have to wait a pay check or 5 before the wheels become a possibility, I knew joining this forum was a bad idea :P

Also Bee sting aerial just arrived in the post, though a small purchase I feel this could be the start of many more car parts being delivered to my door
