Hi all, been a lurker on the forum for a while now both to get a feeling for the car I was looking to buy and to see what might be out there. Last month I eventually took the plunge and bought the a Z4mc, it was featured on the forum for sale a little while ago.

The bank holiday has been the first chance for me to grab some photos as the weather and the car have kept me from spending too much time outside.

Looking forward to getting more photos up but, I'm off into the new forest for a bank holiday drive and a quick walk, although ill probably spend longer with the car :D :driving:

Well just got back, thanks for all the replies, I'll answer the questions raised for those asking.

For those commenting the e30 3 series is a bit of a project car. Unfortunately close up she's not in as great shape as the z4 but, one day I'll get some time and money for it.

The number plate isn't actually mine. Between the previous owner and myself it has taken some time to remove it. Mainly due the DVLA being as helpful as ever. Though I can't complain as it's a nice plate and it was at one point on an exige. I will have my own plate on the vehicle soon.

The previous owner wasn't somebody who had posted on the forum they had added the car to buy and sell section of the site but memory they were not involved in the site before that. Also on the colour I wasn't completely convinced and had my heart set on a darker colour but as soon as I saw it, I thought it was the best colour of the lot. I'm sure a few people will come back to me on that.

The car itself is an 06 and was bought with 22500 miles on the clock, though I have swiftly done over 1000 more in my first month. I will be cutting that down, while it's new can't get enough of taking it everywhere possible

I will be doing the usual for this forum and buying the short aerial - never understood BMW's decision on the factory part.

Best colour going IMO, just needs some silver CSL's now. Someone somewhere has a red roadster with silver CSL's and it's just amazing, I imagine the coupe was no different.

Lovely looking car, as Woody will tell you, Imola Red is the 2nd most popular of all the ///M colours!

Just out of interest what was the number 1 most popular colour?

BTW - welcome to the forum - enjoy the ///MC :driving:

Thanks again for the comments and glad there is so much love for the red.

I would give an awful lot to put some csl's on the car but the price makes me wince. My neighbour has an m3 with csl's perhaps he would be interested in a trade :P .

I think it was Interlagos Blue, but I can't find the thread right now, so could be wrong.

#1 most popular forum colour, as voted at the end of 2012 was indeed Interlagos Blue.
