No heated seats damn cold this morning, and reading through this forum, they are not an easy add on to your original seats.

Option 1) buy a set of second hand heated seats + the loom and retrofit

Option 2) Go to a specialist seat upholsterer and get them to fit (although probably won't have OEM switches)

Option 3) buy those mats on ebay for like £20 which just sit on top of your seats and plug into the cigarette lighter!

I'd love to retrofit heated seats to my E46 but it's just too much of a ballache!

Its crazy people dont spec heated seats in roadsters full stop, especially when they are like a £300 option. So many dont have them.

Im not the expert but I think its to do with the wiring loom obviously you need to get hold of some heated seats and a replacement panel with buttons and install a new wiring loom.

Can be done but its not a quick job and its getting hold of all the items that fit with your cars spec.

option 6) get the wife to go and sit in your seat 10 mins before you go out

A good wife would do that for you. Mine won't but a good one would

Option 6 would be great but unfortunately that would never happen in our household.
