Ahead of this years’ annual alps trip, decided to finally address some of the cooling concerns that the supercharger brings.
Have opted for:
CSF racing radiator - all alloy, improved tubes/fins
EMP Stewart water pump - metal impeller, 20% increase in flow
Race Ready bonnet vents - opted for just the side ones and will have the colour coded to the bonnet so as inconspicuous as possible!
I’ve also splashed out on some HEL braided brake lines and some yellow stuff pads. I know some have a love/hate relationship with yellow stuff, but brake fade has been an issue on those alpine roads, so feels like a good upgrade.
Going to give it a full fluids change, and use 0W40 for the oil change, which it’s been suggested will better suit my super charged engine.
Really didn’t fancy trying to fit an oil cooler, or mess about with water/meth injection, so this is next best option.
I know cooling isn’t the most exciting of mod subjects, but hoping it makes a meaningful difference
