new maps 2018 -2 are out

Well - according to this site https://www.bmw.co.uk/help/technology - you can buy a USB stick for £69 quid with the updated maps on. Does that sound right for our cars?

Are you sure that’s the maps and not the firmware? My son has just updated his disc map on a 04 E85 to 2018, So im pretty convinced you can update yours,

Just tried this, and it says not available for mine 2014?? any ideas or is it not available yet?

You can't update the maps using ConnectedDrive, you need to have the maps on a USB stick, then insert it into the glovebox USB port.

The maps are 23GB in size. You can buy the update USB from a dealership, I think they lowered the price quite significantly.

There are other methods of getting the USB maps update but they can't be discussed on this forum as they are not official. Google can assist there though.

Just updated mine but the update is 2018-1.
No option to download 2018-2.
