new hard top

Bit of a long shot, but does anyone have packed weight and dimensions of one of these? I use a German carrier through work a lot so should be able to ship one of these back for not a lot.

Thanks in advance to anyone who has them, they dont appear to be on the internet anywhere!

I might be interested in joining you in that... don't know whether that might bring the cost down??

It may well do. My carrier works on the number of pallet spaces so if they could be stacked on top of each other it could work out very cheap. Also would all be done through our business account which is always cheaper than consumer rates. I might even consider bringing a couple of extra in if they work out really cheap, although the colours they have available arent the most popular so might not be the best idea. Il be going for the closest they have to black for now and get it resprayed at some point, unless a dark blue somehow looks great on a titan silver car... unlikely!

thats the size that BMW Munich quote for the size of the box..... i never thought to measure it

Just used this to get a quote from my carrier. 1 Hardtop will cost £160 collected and delivered to my warehouse Bury St Edmunds. 2 would be £250. Didnt ask about any more than this, but looks significantly cheaper than previous posters had been quoted on the group buy threads....

That's an excellent price. After getting a number of quotes on both AnyVan and Shipley, the best I could do was £240.

Still, at £480 for the top and £240 carriage, I got a brand-new-in-box top with all the bits delivered to my door for £720.

Makes some of the second-hand tops here and on eBay look very expensive!

Yea, for sure. I use these guys week in week out at work so we get very good rates. Im almost tempted as i said in another thread to bring 2 or 3 over at that price. Sit on them until winter then sell them on.... Unless of course someone on the forum wanted one then it would be bad practice to make too much profit... :D

Ill be interested in Sterling Grey one if someone is going to be bringing a lorry load back :-)

might not be a bad idea if there was enough interest. Im pricing up a quick jaunt to a place in the north (cuxhaven), its 800 miles each way for me, ferry is 130 quid. last van i hired was 100 for the weekend. so lets say 200 for the fuel split. if thats split over 3 tops ~150 each.

Ive had a further quote from my carrier. 1 top £160, 2 = £125 each, 3 = £115 each, 4 = £100 each. Could be a possibility to do a few if demand is there. Maybe even possible to get a better deal on the hard tops if a few were bought... just a thought.

I'm starting to become very interested indeed! I don't think a Sterling grey one would be available (would be great if it was though), but would settle for whatever colour and have it sprayed...

Bet you can't get one in Alpina Blue?

Would need to respray it, but I might be up for that.

They were showing one in Blau II. Our cars are Alpina Blau II so I was wondering myself if it's the same colour. It was more than the others too...

Decided that as I now have access to a garage I'm not going to bother
