Hi all
Any recording or video from people who have done the modification?

I had the work completed about a month ago but the results wernt what I had expected or hoped for (see my thread on it). I opted not to make the video because the difference isn't really noticeable, if at all.I've had it about a month now and put on approx 1500 miles and still have the same opinion.

Hi and thanks for your feedback MD01 .. Gonna read your thread

I spoke with Warren Engineering today to ask if they would be able to make these pipes up for my 3.0si, But in 1" diameter pipe fitment.

Good news is they can, but as they would need to adjust things to make the different size the price would increase slightly to £50.40 delivered, but they said that if a few other people are interested and then they could likely get the price back down to what it was for the 3/4" at around £40 for a pair of bypass tubes.

Would anyone else be interested in having some made in the larger diameter ?

Holy thread resurrection batman!

Although having now read through this - definitely WANT! Are these still available anywhere?

Yes, they are still available, I bought a set a couple of months back and gave some advice to another member who bought some within the last few weeks. :)

I quite fancy some of this action....
A lot of the old pics/vids are no longer available - any chance someone could put something up?
I'm interested to know:

1. Am I going to have issues with reduced ground clearance
2. Is it going to limit access to anything that I might reasonably require access to for maintenance
3. Is every garage I take it to in the future going to laugh at me......

1. Pipes fitted to top of box so no reduced ground height.
2. No
3. Doubt they will notice.

Here are a few pics I took when modifying mine:

I used a step drill to get through the double skin on the tail pipe end.

Welded at this end on the inside and outside

A very snug fit into the inner pipe, welded on the outside

Hope that helps :)

Cool! Thanks srhutch & Fishy Dave. I'm up for a group buy for a Coupe if someone is coordinating it.

Now I'm really kicking myself for not building an inspection pit in my new garage......

I contacted Warren Engineering via email - they can still make these no probs and they're not at all expensive.

For clarity, I assume I only need one tube made on a standard 2.5si exhaust?

Newbers, if I get a pair made I can send the second one on to you. It'll work out a bit cheaper as Warren seem to use a fairly expensive shipping company. Works out at £20 each.

Thanks for that. I need one for a Coupe - do we know they are the same size?

Yeah, I checked realOEM - Identical exhaust system on the si models.

I believe we need the 360mm version so will be ordering that. Would you like one?

By the way, I just noticed you do need 2 pipes for the si exhaust so will be keeping both, sorry! Just email Warren for a pair.

Cheers
