Just picked up my new 30i from Coopers Bolden. I got a good deal with 8K off the new price and 8K trade in on my old E86 3.0si Coupe. The new car is 9 months old and brand new with 13 miles on the clock. It was pre registered, but l am the first owner. In my view the new G29 is superb value, considering it’s a 40K car compared to my old 12 year old Coupe which was 41K new. 4EADDED6-63AA-4DD3-958C-640CFB34B1E6.jpeg

You bought a soft top. Good man. 8)

Not quite the perfect weather for the drive home though.

Lovely! Both the coupe and the new G29. Seems like you got a very good deal. Everyone’s happy.
I like the colour of the G29. Shame it wasn’t available on the M40i.

Nice to see piano black on the centre console too!
Happy motoring! Be sure to get that roof down!

Very nice indeed. Like the dark blue metallic and the chrome grill. I agree with Wyldie85, pity the dark blue is not available on the M40i. :driving:

treat.

Suggestion; treat your soft top with Gtechniq Smart Fabric I1 v2. Works a treat.
Thanks Jim S I’ll order some Gtechniq and give it a go.

Very nice, sounds like you pulled off a good deal.Does it fit in the garage?
it’s a bit tight and I’m having to re jig the garage. Time for a big clear out.
Thanks for all the kind comments. I feel lucky to have such a nice car in the current climate. I retired just in time!

Bullyboy42: The canvas top needs to be completely dry before applying the coating and left overnight to set.
Also, make sure that you cover up the paintwork and windows. Very difficult to remove if it dries on the paintwork and glass.

Great car!

I see you got the Sport instead of the MSport, which is what I have also. I think there are probably more MSport models around, but I specced the Sport as I previously had a couple of MSport E89's and decided that I wanted a more comfortable ride. Apart from that, the difference between the two is purely cosmetic. I appreciate that in your case the choice was not available given that the car already existed, but to me you have got the best option.

Enjoy!

dr-John I’m very happy with the sport model. The ride is firm yet supple, it handles our pot holed roads very well.
The only thing that is missing is a Wind Deflector. The 20i test car I drove had the comfort pack which I believe includes a Wind Deflector. I found the comfort pack annoying as every time I walked past the car it would constantly lock or unlock. My car locks/unlocks with a press of the key. I’m waiting for a price from BMW for the Wind Deflector.

I have comfort pack, there is a setting in iDrive where you can tick to disable the auto unlock/lock function when you walk past the car, I can either use the key fob to lock/unlock the car or just touch the door handles to lock/unlock.
