New from Norfolk

Hi guys, I have been lurking here for quite a while. I am also a man in his mid-fifties! I considering an e89 35is as a way of combining my mid-life crisis with a bit of functionality ....

I have a job which requires frequent travel to and from airports and was hoping to buy a car which combines a bit of fun but is also a capable motorway cruiser, happy sitting in an airport car park for periods of up to 2 weeks at a time and with a boot which will accommodate a small amount of luggage.

I am thinking an e89 35is might fit the bill very well as I think the hard top means its probably going to live OK outside and from what I have read it makes a reasonable cruiser on the motorway.

I would love some feedback, how do you find the e89 on the motorway, do you think it makes a reasonable long distance car?
Based on your experience do you think it would a good choice for my usage case?

Many thanks :D ,

Hi & Welcome
Might be a good idea to start your own thread with your questions rather than hi jack this one, also more people might see it and you will get better responses, but in answer to your question from me , yes

Apologies, I will do exactly that!

Welcome, a lovely looking car in a great setting. I am sure you will enjoy ownership of the Z and the forum, it’s the best forum I’ve come across.

I can only put it down to age and incompetence. It’s not only my typing finger which doesn’t work reliably these days.

Age must be contagious then, cos Rob didn't notice you suggested our new friend used his car as a 'jet' :D

Thanks, Haggisman. It is sitting on my driveway in the piccy. A shame the weather is no good for cleaning and polishing. Wet windy and cold.
