New car coming! (now arrived!!).

Doh :oops: You've even got it on you signiture! I dont normally like convertibles either but as the missus is a keen on "hair in the wind experience", I might have to go for the new Zed next time - in about 3 years I think :lol:

Well pleased. Not had time to drive properly yet and the weather is too miserable, but I have been playing with the iDrive!

Very pleased with it. If one thing I wish the car had it's the 19" wheels although I do like the 18" on the car. Just a small thing!

Do you feel the sDrive35i is significantly faster than your old 3.0si Coupe (0.4 sec faster on paper)? Did you take any pictures when both new and old were parked side by side?

I probably can't wait for a used 35i with DCT and sat nav in 2 years and will get a 23i/30i without sat nav next year. :)
 
I forgot my phone and camera so I didn't get any pics of them both together! Shame because they both had the same plates on!! :P

Only driven the car home as been out this evening working so I haven't had chance to compare, but it does pull better out of corners. I actually prefered the sound of my old Coupe to the new one at speed to be honest, although the new one has a deeper growl to it which is cool!

That new iDrive is well cool!! Managed to get the phone paired to the car also! :D

Looking forward to a drive with the roof down mind! It does have a lot more presence on the drive than the old one though! 8)

I may do that but I am warming to the split rim ones!! Gives me something to fit next year mind! :D
 
Is it a bit sad that I have been sat in the car on the driveway watching Disney's Cars DVD on the sat nav screen!! Looks and sounds good!! :P
 
Something I did notice yesterday. In the R/H exhaust pipe there is what looks like a butterfly type valve flap? It was in the open position when the engine was off. There isn't one in the L/H exhaust? Wonder what that's for?
 
Wonderful looking car, as you say much more presence and makes the old zed look a bit weedy :|

Very jealous of the electronics, more than anything.
 
I like the interior on your new one much better! Makes it look lighter (mine's worse at its the standard silver plastic fantastic) and the center console gives it a more elegant feel!

Were you watching the DVD, waiting for sun to come out :lol: ?

Noise, quite a few BMWs have it now, there is a mod to leave it open all the time but not sure if it makes that much difference TBH. Will dig out the link later.
