Yep and TBH the new steering wheel is nice enough for me anyway. Must win the lottery tomorrow :D

I just did a search on sDrive40i, and found that you have just joined germancarzone forum. :)

Ah I joined about 18 months ago because they had some really good info on the E89 before it was announced. Don't ever post there though.

Got to be honest I do prefer the all black M steering wheel in my old 3.0si too the new one. I guess that may return on the M sport model.

Any pictures from the dealer then Breaker? I'm interested to see what this 'White' option is...

Wow, I must say, you're definitely brave going for that! I'd like to see it in person though.

I've been living with the champaign nappa leather and that was no problem, and I drive in jeans! :P

Notice, apart from the seats, that the main contact areas that you use are in black.

It's definitely worth any extra care needed as it's so much nicer inside than the all black with the silver dash!

This is a better idea of the interior colour. If you can imagine somewhere between the 2 pics.:

I think I'd need to see it in real life. The seats are nice, but just not sure on the dash and side panels. My car is pretty much identical to your old one, also Montego Blue with Champagne Nappa.

What I'm not keen on, personally, is: The glovebox - black handle; The Window switches - black! - The rest could work or not work dependant on preference, but just... why did they do that?

I think the black bits are the parts that would look very worn very quickly if they were the white colour!

It really is a nice place to be in that colour and the all black leather, in my opinion, doesn't show off the design so well.
I thought the interior of my Coupe in the champaign looked awesome, but this is another league inside, especially with the dash being leather trimmed instead of left plastic!!
Still nothing wrong with my old coupe's inside mind.

Must admit the days are starting to drag now!

Weather report looks good for the week and weekend so far so may even put the roof down!! :P

I am sure you will enjoy the car. I have had mine for about a month and still smile everytime I walk up to it! With ref to transferring you Itunes music to the hard drive be careful. The manual says it cannot be done and the BMW techies do not recommend that we try (don't know why). However, I did transfer music from my Itunes to the HDD but had a fewe problems. Firstly I had to go back and forth in the Idrive menu before the IPOD was recognized then the system shut down a few times during transfer. In the end it appeared that all of the music did transfer OK but when trying to play some tracks it was clear that not all was correct as some tracks did not play plus had a few other glitches. On further study this appears to be because I had more than 12gb on my IPOD but also because of the formats and security that Itunes uses on some tracks. I have now modified all of the tracks so they are in a single format using SoundTaxi software and I have chosen the ACC at the moment. The next rainy day I will delete the current music from the car's HDD and try to transfer again. If this does not work i will try an alternative format. I intend to put a separate post about this issue when I have a full set of info. Good luck.

Thanks for that. I probably won't transfer my iPod to the hard drive, just use the iPod connection and play them from there. I don't listen to music that much these days in the car (don't know why, I just prefer the drive!) so I rarely have more than 3 cd's in the car at any 1 time. I'll just copy the CD's I want onto the hard drive. :)

Anything I have bought from iTunes I want in the car I will do as you did and copy them to another format.

I just went for a spin in the new "Z", all was going well untill they showed me the boot.... I will be interested to hear how you get on, is there enough space etc. It looks very small with the roof down and I never have the roof up!
Do you think you could get a set of Golf Clubs in? I had 2x golf bags and a trolley in mine at the weekend :)
