New car coming! (now arrived!!).

Listen - I am enjoying my mid life M crisis, let me be :D

Once done, I will be back in my 7 series where I came from.

Why bother! Get the new Z4 and have the best of both worlds!!

I already have best of both worlds, well 3 worlds, with the 3 cars I have. The X5 was a good 7 series replacement with the arm chair driving, the MKI Golf Cabrio the family convertible with no power and no power steering :) and the M for my mid life crisis

Interesting what you said about the rear as i agree 100% nice face shame about the arse.......
I like both the front and the back of the new car, but they don't seem to have put much thought into connecting them together; the side view is just a mess.

The indicator side plate (a Z3 homage) is a nice idea, but it doesn't stand out enough and is consequently over powered by the massive panel gap to the bonnet. And the front overhang is too long, it's like an SL and looses the wheels-on-the-corners look.

Yeah moved it now that you've spilled the beans and all that...

You got me looking too now  How've you bought yours, have you got any guaranteed residual of anything? Think I might do that next time.

I thought of you while driving home tonight. No I`m not :gfight: I had to go through one of those purposely narrowed roads (with the aim of slowing traffic down through a small village) and it had a speed bump inside the narrowed section also that practically grinds sports cars to a halt (f`ing councils have no idea). I was meant to give way but as the oncoming car was some distance away I went through then hobbled over the speed bump. As it approached it was a nice new Z4 in Dark Blue ( which I thought was black first), and it did look great from the front while I was also sat low in my car. It looked quite wide and low. Gave and received the thumbs up also, even though I held them up. Had the large multispoke alloys on it. I agree the rear could be better but it didn`t look bad from behind as I watched it going over the speed bump in my rear view mirror.

Well I owned my 3.0si so I put all the money into that and had the rest on finance. I very rarely use the whole finance period mind. I'm contemplating the residual value insurance. Must admit I've never had it before.

And why is that then Mike ...
LOL fed up getting humped every time on the trade in. Choose the 35i now, in two or three years time everyone wants the 40i M Sport. Buy now when discounts are small, and by the time you sell it discounts are massive and easily obtained.

Me neither but at least it's a sure thing, just hand it back at the end.

I must admit I have only seen 2 on the road. Followed a black 2.5 on Saturday and it did look nice!

I do secretly wish that my car had the 19" wheels mind. The split wheel type 18"s on the car do look good and do not look small in the arches. Maybe a future purchase!

Your sig is outdated now ...

.... as your car will be when the M arrives :P

I am actually planing on keeping this one for a bit now (don't quote me on that though!!). :D

By the time an M engined version comes out, I'll be too old to get in a sports car!! :P

Go on, get the 35i. You know you want one really.

I know that with age, everything shrinks. Not my engine size though :D

Any more news about sDrive 40i/M Sport modesl? When will M Sport version be launched?

No new spy pics mate. Unlikely this year I'd have thought - maybe around early Feb 2010, not sure.

TBH apart from a little bit of power, if I bought a 35i now I wouldn't be too fussed about the M Sport. Like the E92 3 series, I always liked the SE and when the M Sport came it wasn't dramatically different, and I preferred the SE 19" wheels more too.

The only exterior difference between SE and Sport on facelift E85 was the wheels. But if BMW is going to introduce M bodystyling on M Sport model for E89, then the car will be even more attractive.

A fully loaded sDrive35i, like Breaker's new car, has already got sports seats and sports suspension. The only things missing may be just a M Sports steering wheel and the M door sills.
