Well, after about a week, and a little over 100 miles, I am very happy with the Michelin PSS. For obvious reasons I have not pushed them too hard yet, but initial feel is very good and confident. Turn-in is very responsive, and the grip, so far, is as expected - excellent.
The non RFT has clearly changed the ride of the Zed, both on surface streets as well as freeway - I'm not sure which is more pronounced, but it feels more like you are floating along - not in a bad way, still very well connected, just missing all the tiny bumps and jolts that used to be transmitted through. It makes the car feel less fragile, if that is a correct description, because you don't feel like your getting pounded by each bump. Makes me want to drive more - as if I needed that.
On the down side - I miss the look of the Bridgestone RFTs. They were much more angular looking in the sidewall (the PSS looks a little rounder), and the PSS don't seem to have as low a profile, even though they are supposed to be the same. I think the look of the RFT fit the Z4 a little better.
The tire fitter I used did a great job, took such good care of my car. Very happy with their expertise and their work. If anyone needs a reference in So California - let me know.
In summary - great tire - well worth the price, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.
BTW - seanmillar - Great write-up on you track experience. I really enjoyed it!
