Neil's Coupe

Very nice! Looking forward to pics with the coilovers on.
Love the work you have put into this! Sound must be brilliant inside! Definitely something I have to get round too! Even more so because my OEM amp is shot (no rears :( ) no idea where to start though!

thanks ben g and LukeMace.

Dropped the car off today ba3bas. Patience! (not that I have been patient at all with wanting to get these on the car!)

Now I'm at a library (well I just finished) some work on company law. My class at 2 is going to DRAG.

Can't wait to go pick her up and get her prepped for DC. Feel free to use a number of adjectives to describe my mood right now! :P

Just picked the car up.

Initial feelings on the kit...well it's amazing already. Noticeable difference when driving (good and bad points here) and car is lower too. Of course the springs will have to settle a bit too before I go tinkering with it to go even lower.

Now to find a nice set of wheels (Not CSL's. They're nice, but I feel the look has been overdone - no offence to any owners with CSL's fitted!)

You can't post after getting them on and not put a pic up!!!

Okay, so the car isn't slammed hellaflush or whatever you want to call it...yet.

I asked for them to lower it by about 30mm. I didn't bother with all the scene activities of measuring, but it is a bit lower. Springs of course are still to settle.

I will get some proper lows in a few weeks once everything settles in. Then I will set about adjusting the dampers to perfect the ride. Currently though, the drive home wasn't crashy or overly bumpy. Thumbs up from me so far!

good lad, looking nice.

I'm in 2 minds to lower further but like you letting everything settle.

Need a few more runs with someone in passenger seat to level it out.

In your case, you might be in luck as my 25mm Eibachs are soon to be surplus next week.... you can have them for what I paid.
will keep you posted on when they're off the M3.

for now.. Sir I salute you

ba3bas, was speaking to the guys today...they all said they were surprised I didn't go for air! (As the infamous air'd red z4 was there too) I said once the coils settle, I'll go nice and low!

Ooo, I've been after a set of spacers. I said I wouldn't bother with my 108's but the car needs some widening wheel wise.

fatmikey Thanks! Can't thank the guys at HTS Motorsport enough. Did a fantastic job and squeezed me in too considering how busy they've been recently (everyone's last minute show prep!)

Now to wash and detail the car tomorrow for Sunday. Set up all the audio up this evening. I've not stopped grinning since dropping the car off!

:D

Yea im doing the same in the morning! just bought some low tack masking tape for the front end as I can see my 2 and a half hour drive attracting lots of dead flies on the way down. Will still have to clean it once im at DC though :P

I'm not sure if I'm going to tape up.

If I do, won't be going as crazy as this...

(I can't believe that the Zed was actually this high at all to begin with! I could have sworn it never looked this bad!)

I can help out with the spacers if needed? The car is looking great Neil once the mods start its hard to stop isn't it!!

Thanks MM! Will let you know RE spacers.

Mods should be made illegal (aside from audio). I've been talking about a static+ kit for a while, and now am seriously considering the kit if only it weren't so expensive!

I've a list longer than the Zed's bonnet of wheels I'd love to own (both for the Zed and a personal collection)

I think I will have to be firm, let the new suspension properly bed itself in, and dial that perfectly before anything else.

We all know that's not gonna happen!!

After the wash, clay and polish today

now going to meet up with some friends where the car will get a few coats of wax, and a few finishing bits (plastics scrubbed, bit of a engine bay clean and so forth.

Neil I taped mine up before heading to DC sat afternoon! I wont be doing it again, it took forever to do then even longer peeling it off! This will make you laugh!

anyway was good meeting you, shame i didnt catch you near your car to have a good look around

Can hardly tell it's been taped up Mikey!

To be honest though, your front end looked mint! I had to tape mine up so quickly I must have had a few strips fly off. (Oops!)

So one member on stanceworks posted this...

I always loved these wheels but never thought about them on a zed. This has me thinking.

However, until then...this was taken today.
