I’ve done this without removing any major trim parts. Must be more than 10 years ago, but from memory this quick and dirty approach took less than an hour...
First, open some of the easier panels for visibility:
- Remove ash tray, the screw under it and pull up the center console module (with roof control buttons etc)
- In front of that, remove the access panel under center of dash
- Pull up the leather gear stick boot
- From the trunk/boot, remove carpet to access the hole behind of the storage shelf.
- Then use a nylon cable puller (used by elecricians to feed cables inside walls, e.g.
